Weekend Warriors is Episode 6 of Season 1 of the USA network television dramedy Psych.

Plot Synopsis

In 1986, Henry pits the members of Scout Troop 101 — consisting entirely, it seems, of Shawn (Liam James) and Gus (Isaah Brown) — against each other in a race to recover a solid fuel model rocket.

In 2006, Carlton Lassiter leads a collection of volunteers in a reenactment of the 1865 Civil War "Battle of Piper's Cove" (in which, apparently, his great-great-great-great-grandfather Mascomb Lassiter led Union forces against Quantrill's Raiders). Shawn and Gus watch the production with Detective O'Hara, while Lassiter chastises bit player Sally Reynolds (Claire Coffee) who missed her cue to emerge from a hospital tent as the fictitious nurse Jenny Winslow and "shoot" Nelson Poe (Yves Camerson), playing Confederate guerrilla William Clarke Quantrill. Unfortunately, Lassiter then finds Poe off his mark, dead on the ground, shot through the chest. Insurance agent lead system: Health, Life, Annuity, Long term care, Mortgage

At the police station, Shawn learns that Poe was shot through the heart, and determines that the actor was murdered despite Lassiter's initial theory that Poe's death was an unfortunate accident. In a meeting of the reenactors and the police, Lassiter recreates the scaled model of the battlefield to demonstrate how Poe was likely caught by a live round that was accidentally left in one of the muskets after live-ammo target practice the day before. After flirting with Reynolds, Shawn fakes a "psychic vision" including the privileged information that Poe was shot through the heart, and is immediately hired onto the case by Vick.

Shawn and Gus return to the Psych agency office, where Shawn is able to construct a perfect replica of Lassiter's battlefield model on an air-hockey table.
