Important works

As I see it: The reductive spirit is of two motivations:

 1) To find a common ground after a time of crisis. This found
      its voice in De Stijl Bauhaus,
      Constructivism, etc.
      
  2) A reaction to the aburdity of things; This found voice in
       the Dadaists, Hermeticists, etc.
