Intro
(Earth, Life, Energy)

We are all connected by energy fiels - from the sun, space, and of course
from the Earth itself. Before the advent of technology -or- at least much
of it -- we were all "tuned in" to what was going on around us.

For example, and anthropologist friend of mine [Riccio; personal story] was
in Alaska to gather Native American (Yupik Eskimos) stories. And during the
winter (with snow drifts six to seven feet high), he was to meet with one
of the elders to "hear her story". When he came to her home, he was greeted
by two hunters who were staying with her. They teased him that his "girl
friend" (the elder was in her 80's) was in the other room getting ready.

They then went back to playing a game of dice with dice of various shapes
- including a duck. All of a sudden, they jumped up and put on their
hunting clothes and rushed out into the cold. Two days later they
returned with the catch: Seals for food, fuel and clothes - and in the
spring for a special life-returning spiritual ceremony. [Note 1]

My friend asked them why they had dashed out to go hunting - was it the
dice game? The two hunters were *so* tuned in to their environment, that
when the ice flows (which almost continually block the shore line) began
to break up and move out from the shore: The very subtle way in which
the light reflected off the ice (down by the shore) and that little
bit of *change* in the light coming in thrug the tops of the almost
entirely snow-bound windows; that almost invisible change had disturbed
them from the dice game.  It is time to hunt!

Scientists knwo that the Earth, Sun, and the space around them have been
essentially stable for thousdans, millions, and even years - in different
ways with respect to different effects/conditions/things; ie, not all in
the same way. For example, the sun-spot activities are believed to not
only disrrupt modern radios (James Clerk Maxwell, Heinrich Hertz,
Gugillimo Marconni, et al - 1876, 1903, 1928) - but affect the climate
possbily even triggering ice ages.

To the Earth's own magnetic field - like a fractional MRI -- pervades all
life and indeed much of the Earth itself. But, every now and then (for
reasons as yet *still* un-known), the North and South *magnetic* poles
flip internally. We can't even imagine how this might have affected life
on Earth. Many animals appear to have "magnetic compasses" in their
noses and migrate/move using these patterns. Indeed, ancedotally, some
people say they sleep better N-to-S rather then S-to-N.

And of course, meterors rain down on the Earth - slowly adding to its
mass -- and thus effecting (ever so subtly) it's gravitational field,
which (like the magnetic field) is *far* from uniform. And of course
the plight of the dinosaurs was decided in a most dramatic (and thankfully
*now* rarely) way some 65_000_000 years ago. (probably on a thursday ;)

And even the more "mundane" day-to-day and month-to-month occurrences have
effects upon all of the Earth. From temperature, humidity, and even pollen
levels, to tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquqkes, etc.

We are surrounded by fields of energy - some visible, many more not -- but,
all interacting with all TerraKind (Life, Earth/Sea/Sky) - the very Earth
itself.

This text attmpts to draw together some of the ideas and thoughts for
human attempts to "figure it all out" - well; mostly.
