Psalm 98
1-O sing unto the LORD a new song;
for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand,
and his holy arm,
hath gotten him the victory.
2-The LORD hath made known his salvation:
his righteousness hath he openly
shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3-He hath remembered his mercy
and his truth toward the house of Israel:
all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4-Make a joyful noise unto the LORD,
all the earth: make a loud noise,
and rejoice, and sing praise.
5-Sing unto the LORD with the harp;
with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6-With trumpets and sound of cornet
make a joyful noise before the LORD,
the King.
7-Let the sea roar,
and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein.
8-Let the floods clap their hands:
let the hills be joyful together
9-Before the LORD;
for he cometh to judge the earth:
with righteousness shall he judge
the world, & the people with equity.
Psalm 19:1-6(NIV)
((Such Majesty of the Heavens-they declare ...))
1- The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2- Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
3- There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.
4- Their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,
5- which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6- It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat.

A Survivor's Story
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.
But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.
Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.
Psalm 72:8,11,17,19 NIV
He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him.
May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed. Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
