Seasonal Quintet
Under the shady canopy of trees
Whose leaves dance in the roaming wind
The pond is a silver mirror
Reflecting yellow, moon-colored leaves of fall
Lonely geese fly south in the pale yellow sky
Making an arrow with flowing wings
Cool air flies toward them from the north
Making goose bumps on chilly cheeked children
Icicles as though sculpted of diamonds
Sparkling in the shivering wind
A cup of tea by flaming sweet pine
Crackling like dead leaves of fall
Cherry blossoms in Spring
Their sweet scent drifting across valleys
An artist softly sketches them, in fragile, flowing lines
Capturing their soul in delicate, sunset-pink colors
Summer glowing warmth with juicy blackberries
Wading in cool, clear ice-colored creek water
Lazily watching a fern bending in the wind
Thirsty, watching dark storm clouds full of water
