Highway Sutra
Mad daisies swaying like
choir bells
In the balmy breeze
Flashing in yellow ribbons
Between asphalt roads
streaking
Naked to the solar onslaught
Swimming over forested hills
Hugging the crying earth in
deathly embrace
Holy clouds sailing like
Flying Dutchmen
Ghostly ectoplasms of mist
Shape shifting souls of
evaporated water
Cars careen down emerald
passage
Through golden heat of heaven
Doors to paradise glimpsed
here
Among garden of wild flower
mysticism
Nature painted in naked glory
On highway median meandering
Like a myth passed down
through the ages
Story morphing with wagging
tongues
My warm pate aglow with solar
aura
Imprint of colors cascading
on cornea
Total bliss blowing like
bubbles
Through my babbling mind
Gathering the bushels of
beauty
Till chest constricts in
palpitations
Prickling like orgasm
Portending passing of breath
When essence is poured into
earth
Vessel of mind vortex
Sifting like sand
Into bosom of Gaia
