Figure 5.6. Only a few of the components in this circuit have values given. The lower input terminal is grounded. The upper input terminal connects to one end of a capacitor labeled C sub 1. The other end of C sub 1 connects to the grid of a triode vacuum tube. The grid also goes to ground through a resistor. The cathode goes to ground through a 15.9 k ohm resistor. We will return to this cathode later. The plate goes to B plus through a resistor. The plate of this triode goes through a capacitor labeled C sub 2, 0.01 microfarad to the grid of a second triode. The grid of the second triode goes to ground through a 1.59 meg ohm resistor. The cathode of the second triode goes to ground through the parallel combination of a resistor and capacitor. The capacitor is labeled C sub 3. The plate of the second triode goes through a resistor to B plus. The plate of the second triode goes through a capacitor labeled C sub 4, 0.1 microfarad, then through a 143 k ohm resistor to the cathode of the first triode. The plate of the second triode also goes through a capacitor labeled C sub 5 to the upper output terminal. The upper output terminal goes through a resistor to ground. The lower output terminal is grounded. End verbal description.
