Died April 25th 2008 aged 11 1/2 yrs
diagnosed with lymphoma in May 2002.
and with bladder cancer Dec. '07
Mollie, (11 1/2), lost her battle with bladder cancer
yesterday. She was such a special girl. She was dx with lymphoma in
May of 02 and remained in remission until her passing. So there is
hope for those of you still fighting the monster. Don't give up.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Back in Dec. '07 I posted that Mollie after being lymphoma
free for 5 1/2 yrs. was dx with bladder cancer. Tumor was removed
and she is on her 5th chemo treatment of Doxorubicin along with
Piroxicam which gave her some stomach problems. The chemo along with
Piroxicam is suppose to be the silver bullet. She now receives
Misoprostal to protect the stomach and I added a capsule of
glutamine to the regimen of pills and that seems to be doing the
trick. I just ordered K-9 Immunity and will start that as soon as it
arrives. Mollie has become a very picky eater because of the
Piroxicam and getting her to eat became such a problem. So much for
a high quality diet: right now it's Kibbles n Bits. I know, not a
quality diet, but if Kibble n Bits puts some weight on, and she
loves it, so be it. She gained 3lbs. I'll let her have her way then
try to go back to the cooked chicken and beef. She use to love
broccoli and cabbage and now will not touch it. I guess the chemo
and meds are changing her tastes. She is still very playful. I hope
and pray she gets to pick her cherished tomatoes this summer.
