fought the good fight with innovative treatment!
Bailey was the second pet to have a stem cell transplant, and
the first to have an allogenic transplant in conjunction with a
tumor vaccine lymphocyte infusion--both performed by the amazing Dr.
Edmund Sullivan of Bellingham Washington. The latter treatment will
eventually be available for treatment in humans.
"Bailey lost her battle this early this morning.
Unfortunately we do not know if the DLI (donor lymphocyte infusion)
worked, because she got a kidney infection."
