In Loving Memory of Laddie April 12th 2000 to May 27th 2010 dx hemangiosarcoma March 2009 Denise's beloved Sheltie Boy After 15 months fighting haemangiosarcoma, my Laddie was taken very poorly in the night tonight and when we got to the vet it was clear he had had a traumatic internal bleed so we made the sad decision to let him rest. Up to tonight he has been bright and cheerful, playing, barking and bossing everyone about - he never gave up! Thank you everyone for your support through this battle. Laddie Laddie celebrated his 10th birthday on Monday. This is the second birthday he has celebrated since his hemangiosarcoma diagnosis and a birthday we never expected to see. He has his good days and his not so good days but we are so pleased we made the decision to go for the chemo treatment as he has enjoyed most days and continues to be my bravest little champion and pack leader. Laddie Chaplin It was early March when Laddie was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. I decided on the chemo treatment and despite a week with cystitis, Laddie has done well and has a good quality of life. At the moment he is on a combination therapy and he is playing and back to being our 'boss dog'. I am so glad that we decided to give him this chance. Even if he should cross the bridge sooner rather than later he has had some happy times and the other 2 dogs have enjoyed being with him too.
