July 20, 2006.  Dad and 92 other passengers of the Russian icebreaker Yamal fix the exact position of the North Pole, form a circle around it, and prepare to "march around the world."  About two dozen of the hardier souls later go for swim in the path that the Yamal had cut through the ice.
