Today is the day, That we had to say goodbye.
God took you from us And we don't know why.
Pain and grief, Love and depression.
You've made your impression.
I will hold you close, So we'll never be apart.
You're on my mind And in my heart.
I'll try to smile And not to be blue.
As I live each day, With thoughts of you.
"It will all be okay", Said a voice from above.
"Your son is with me, Surrounded by love."
At this time of sorrow,
May these truths sustain you.
Your loved one will always be,
As close as a memory and
The God of all comfort,
