What is Brianna's Blessings?
In time, with the hopes of saving, working hard, and doing other types of things, as was done before, we hope to be able to once again purchase things for the facility. This is something that so many people before felt we needed and others living in the other states also have commented how they would love to have a facility like this one. However; as of today, I am alone on doing this, having 5 children (2 having a disability), and do not have a large income to invest into a building, or even rent a building, at this time. Hopefully, Brianna's Blessings will once again be noticed, talked about, and helped so that the building can "come to life" and we can help those who need it, as well as each other.
Our main focus is on the children and adults with special needs since it seems there is not a place where they can play, bond with others and work on their milestones, sensory issues, life skills and interpersonal skills. This is intended to be a family center,, therefore we will be providing things for everyone, no matter the age, to be able to come and enjoy themselves, as well as, having a place to turn to for resources and information. We would like to have a place where meetings can be held, therapists and TSS's and others have a place to work with the children they help, mothers and fathers can bond with others, as well as siblings of those with special needs can bond with other siblings and talk about the common things they go through daily. For families to be able to go somewhere and enjoy themselves and relax knowing that no staring or comments will be tolerated within the facility. Finally, there are many children in our community who feel there is "nothing to do" which leaves them vulnerable to those with bad influences. Brianna's Blessings would like to offer things for these children come to and visit, make some friends, learn about different disabilities first hand and how to help those in need, so they won't be tempted to get into trouble or do things that peer pressure can lead them into. We have a Sponsor a Child Program where companies, families or individuals can show their love by helping a child in need, to advance on their milestones or even a child who, without your help would be left on the streets to "find something to do" by paying for their yearly or monthly membership, or to pay for their weekly or daily admission. Finances are so high due to the economy and medical bills that pile up, so Brianna's Blessings thought of a way where our community can express their love and help families who really need it. | VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! - We sure could use as many volunteers as possible. Ages can be from 13 to adult. Depending on age and experience will determine what you can do to help us. After a while, we hope to be hiring people, starting with the volunteers to work part time and full time. It will be required that parents stay with their children at ALL times.
