Welcome to my piece of Terra Nova.
Terra Nova is a fictional world in the Heavy Gear Universe. Terra Nova is one of the Coloney Worlds spawned when humanity reached out for the cosmos. That was before the collapse of the major governing power for all humanity, the Human Concordat, in the 55th Century.
Left to fend for itself, Terra Nova eventually began evolving into it's own world with its own distinct culture. Many of its peoples gathered into local city-states. These city-states eventually grew into leagues which were later grew into two distinct and emerse alliances, the Confederated Northern City States and the Allied Southern Territories. The closest thing to a nuetral party on Terra Nova are the scattered city states of the Badlands. It is named more for its geographical locale, than for those who reside in the barron deserts that encirle the planet's equator. The Badlands also serves as a natural barrier between the North and South.
I'm a huge Heavy Gear fan. I'm currently working an army using Heavy Gear miniatures as well as other 1/144th scale vehicles. I personally favor the North due largely in part to the fact that most of the inhabitants of the North is largely a religious state. As a believer in Jesus Christ, I find it to be a noble and admirable concept.
I've always wanted to get into tactical miniatures wargaming and, until recently, I hadn't done anything other then buy the tactical rulebook from Dreampod 9 and look at pictures of minis on their site. If for some odd and unforeseen reason you don't know what miniatures wargaming is... GOOGLE IT.
I'm want to do an entire armored division and I'm designing this website to chronicle my progress. This is a long term project that I have no idea when I'll finish. Barring me marrying someone who consumes all of my time and forces me to abandon this project, I'll more than likely finish the project.
I'm basing my division on an all Black Tank Battalion the 761st Tank Battalion. Any reference to the Black Panthers is referring to the tank battalion and not the now defunct civil rights movement that took place in the 60s & 70s. There are other all black units that I have included in my Division and have even taken two black commanders as the head of my division and the carrier group i attached to it.
