Here is a list of all thirteen Senators still serving in the 110th Congress, 2007-2008, who voted "No" on the apology resolution in 1993. They will probably understand why it is important to oppose the Native Hawaiian Recognition bill. Senator Jeffords since 1993 has switched out of the Republican party and now caucuses with the Democrats, but (1) hopefully there are some clear-thinking Democrats who will not simply vote in lock-step with their party leaders; and (2) hopefully Senator Jeffords will not switch his understanding of history and law merely because he has switched political party affiliation.
