Kris Kartier vs. Mikey Wryght
Introduction
[Word has gotten around, because the inside of the Chesapeake Armory is packed to the rafters with the greatest fans in the state of Virginia. "We Die Young" by Alice in Chains floods the arena over the second-rate P.A. system and the fans let out a roar. The camera pans down to ringside where Cliff Anderson and Jack Deruke are ready to call the action.]

Cliff Anderson:: Ladies and gents, welcome back to the Chesapeake Armory and welcome back to Riptide. Tonight, we have the semi-finals of the Lethal Lottery tournament taking place, and in the main event Kris Kartier defends his Television Championship against "Mr. Showtime" Mikey Wryght.

Jack Deruke:: He don't call himself "The Main Event" for nothin'. Ain't nobody been able to stop my man Kartier yet, and I don't see that sideshow phony Mikey Wryght fairin' any bettah.
Opener

Nick Teredo vs. Machine
---
Cliff Anderson:: Let's get the first match underway. Tonight, we've got the newcomer, Nick Teredo, taking on Machine. I hope the big guy doesn't hurt him too bad.

[Nick Teredo is the first one out and he doesn't appear to care for the Norfolk fans all that much. Machine makes his way to the ring next, accompanied by Rosco Pico Train. The referee calls for the bell and Nick Teredo begins cautiously circling his foe. Machine just stands in the center of the ring adjusting his gloves as Teredo attacks Machine from behind. Machine recovers quickly and starts laying into the Native Son with monstrous right hands that send him through the ropes to the arena floor. Machine follows him to the outside.]

Cliff Anderson:: I think this is gonna turn nasty for the youngster...

[Teredo quickly dives back into the ring.]

Cliff Anderson:: Maybe not. He's definitely not stupid.

[Machine follows Teredo back in, but he's there waiting for him. Teredo stomps away on the Giant German but he stands anyhow. Machine reverses an Irish whip and sends Teredo to the ropes. The big man goes for a clothesline, but Teredo ducks, puts on the brakes, and locks in the Grip of Huitzilopochtli! Machine tries to power out of it, but Teredo hops onto the big man's back. After several minutes, Machine grows woozy and topples over backwards...crushing Teredo beneath his massive frame. Teredo rolls out of the ring to catch his breath, but Machine slowly follows him out. Teredo begins rumaging around beneath the announcer's table as Machine approaches. Teredo quickly spins around holding a cookie in his hand as the referee continues his ten-count. The delighted Giant German reaches for the cookie, but Teredo latches a pair of giant handcuffs around the German's hand, then snaps it around part of the announcer's table. Machine is stunned as Teredo dives back into the ring just in time to beat the ten-count. Nick Teredo wins by countout!]
Pride
Cliff Anderson:: That was a dastardly, underhanded move by Nick Teredo. Now Machine is cuffed to our commentating table here...

[Machine is angry as he begins jerking on the handcuffs. Teredo mocks the big man from inside the ring. Machine's fury gets the best of him as he pulls with all his might. The table crumbles into pieces as he jerks his hand free. Teredo's mockery stops. Rosco Pico Train tries to calm the giant, but he gets shoved to the ground. There's something Machine wants, and by George, he's gonna get it...the cookie! Machine begins munching on the cookie as Rosco leads him away from the ring. Again, Teredo begins mocking Machine, this time slapping his limp hand against his chest. The fans begin booing Teredo when suddenly the lights go dim. The boos turn to cheers as a purple haze fills the ring.]

Cliff Anderson:: Hold the phone. We saw this at the end of last week's Riptide, but I'm not quite sure what's going on here.

[The mysterious woman known only as Destini appears on the A.W.A.-tron. There's a devilish look in here eyes.]

Destini:: Nick Teredo...you have sinned.

[The big screen fades to black as purple rose pedals rain down from the rafters. The lights in the arena go pitch black and movement is heard in the ring. When the lighting returns, Nick Teredo is lying out cold in the center of the ring. A five-letter word is spelled out in rose pedals across the canvas.]

PRIDE

Jack Deruke:: Pride?

Cliff Anderson:: Yeah, something you have none of. But apparantly Nick Teredo had a little too much of it, and he's been punished for his sin. But by who?
#2
Standard, Six-Man Tag Team
The Folk & Gutter vs. Glitz and Glamour & Larry Thompson
---
[The match starts with Thompson cleaning house against Gutter. Gutter tags in Jingles who gets manhandled by Larry. Jingles tags in Jigsaw, and the Strongman fares no better. Glitz and Glamour await a tag on the ring apron, but Larry Thompson wants to win the match by himself. Finally, Thompson gets close enough for Glamour to tag himself in. Larry takes exception to this and blasts Bobby with a big right hand. Johnny tries to protest and takes one right in the forehead for his troubles. Thompson hops out of the ring and throws Miss Fitch over his shoulder before marching up the aisle to the back. Glitz and Glamour attempt to follow but the Folk cut them off before they can even leave the ring.]

Cliff Anderson:: Larry Thompson has just abducted Miss Fitch? What's he gonna do with her?

Jack Deruke:: I can think of a handful o' things I'd do to her...

[The Folk and Gutter try to use the numbers game to their advantage, but Gutter slips up and walks right into Coming Attraction. Bobby Glamour picks up the pinfall victory before Jingles or Jigsaw can make the save. Glitz and Glamour quickly exit the ring and jog to the back in search of Larry Thompson and their abducted associate. The Folk help Gutter up in the ring, but they don't look happy.]
Old Pals
[The A.W.A.-tron comes alive with Thompson running out the back door of the Chesapeake Armory with Fitch squirming around on his shoulder. He looks around for a moment before sprinting across the gravel parking lot towards the landfill in the next lot. Thompson rounds a corner and finds Machine with Rosco Pico Train next to the ledge that overlooks the landfill. Rosco is trying to free Machine from the handcuffs when he notices Thompson and starts backing away. Thompson slowly to a trot and then stops altogether dropping Fitch unceremoniously to the ground in the process. Machine tilts his head to one side and looks at Thompson. Thompson's face is void of any emotion as he approaches his old companion. Rosco turns and runs for the hills as Thompson looks up into Machine's eyes.]

Cliff Anderson:: Here comes Johnny Glitz!

[Out of nowhere Johnny Glitz flies into the picture and hits a double clothesline on both men sending them both over the railing. A second later they land with a thud as the cameraman runs up and peers over the railing. Machine and Larry Thompson have fallen several stories into the relative safety of the back of a garbage truck. Bobby Glamour strolls into view along the side of the garbage truck and yanks on the red lever. The garbage truck begins compacting...with Larry Thompson and Machine inside!]

Bobby Glamour:: Oops!

Johnny Glitz:: Noice.

[Glitz and Glamour help Miss Fitch to her feet and the Fab Four disappear back into the Chesapeake Armory as the truck finishing compacting all of the garbage.]
Unchained Melody
[The A.W.A.-tron switches to a shot of the backstage area where we find A.W.A. owner Richard Cormier dictating to young Cody Duckett, his new assistant.]

Richard Cormier:: ...and after that, I want you to sweep the gravel parking lot. But first, go get me some coffee.

Cody Duckett:: Yes, sir.

[Duckett wheels himself away in his wheelchair as Cormier beams a proud smile.]

Richard Cormier:: W. William who?

[Cormier's smile is interrupted as Dr. Payne flies past him into the wall. Griffin Youngblood is hot on his trail with a chain wrapped around his hand. Youngblood kneels over the top of Dr. Payne and begins pounding away on his head. He doesn't stop until Payne's forehead is gushing blood. Griffin stands over him and looks as if he's about to say something, but instead he turns to walk away. Youngbloob stops in front of Cormier for a moment, but doesn't even bother turning his head to look at him. Instead, Griffin just walks away leaving Cormier with his jaw hanging open.]

Lethal Lottery Tag Team Championship Tournament:
Round #2:
Donny J. McNasty & Griffin Youngblood vs. Dr. Payne & Jimmy the Klepto
Finals
Cliff Anderson:: Well, it looks like Jimmy the Klepto is gonna be going this one alone. Dr. Payne was busted up pretty bad at the hands and chain of Griffin Youngblood.

[Indeed, Jimmy is left to fend for himself against the King of Hardcore and the technical expertise of Griffin Youngblood. Jimmy is walking with a noticeable limp thanks to the attack he suffered at the hands of Griffin Youngblood at the house show this past Thursday. Griffin starts the match, and he goes right for Jimmy's injured wheel. Jimmy does what he can to fend off Griffin's assault, but Youngblood is relentles. Griffin drags Jimmy to the ringpost and locks in the figure four around the post, causing Jimmy to scream in agony. The fans boo as Griffin eventually releases the hold. Youngblood tags in McNasty who continues the beating on the A.W.A.'s favorite thief. During the match, a hillbilly wearing dirty jeans and a faded Dukes of Hazard t-shirt walks down to the ring with a lawn chair in one hand and a cooler in the other. He sets up the chair and takes a seat at ringside to watch the action.]

Jack Deruke:: Who in the hell is this crazy fruitloop?

Cliff Anderson:: I'm not quite sure, but he bares a striking resemblence to Donny McNasty and the rest of the McNasty clan.

[The hillbilly continues to watch the action as Donny scores several nearfalls on the thief. Donny and Griffin surprisingly work together to wear down Jimmy the Klepto with frequent tags. Griffin is set to lock in the Griffin Submission when a patched up Dr. Payne sprints out from the back. The fans ignite at the sight of the Good Doctor as he hops up onto the ring apron and begins beating the turnbuckle. Jimmy fights back and unloads several right hands into the bread basket of Youngblood. The klepto tries to tag, but Griffin keeps cutting him off. McNasty is tagged back in, and he continues to work over Jimmy. McNasty slips up and Jimmy makes the diving tag to Payne. The place comes unglued as Payne enters the ring and cleans house. Griffin and Donny stagger towards the Good Doctor and he only has one thing left to do...lock in the double Vaginal Claw! Griffin and McNasty break the hold and hit the ropes for a double clothesline. Payne ducks and the two fly past him. Griffin hits the ropes as Jimmy pulls the top strand down, sending Youngblood flying to the outside of the ring. McNasty puts on the brakes and turns right into a boot to the stomach. Dr. Payne plants him with Sweet Payne as the fans count along. 1...2...3!]

Cliff Anderson:: Payne picks up the win! Dr. Payne and Jimmy the Klepto are moving to the next round!
Consolation
[Donny and Griffin both look extremely angry over losing the match. The hillbilly enters the ring with his cooler and walks over to Donny. Griffin climbs back into the ring as the hick pats Donny on the shoulder, then offers him a can of Guinness. Griffin looks pissed as he stares straight at Donny. The hillbilly doesn't pick up on his aggravation and pats him on the shoulder, offering him a beer. Griffin grabs the entire cooler from the friendly hillbilly and blasts him in the head with it! Beers go flying as Youngblood exits the ring to a chorus of boos. McNasty kneels down to check on the hillbilly as the A.W.A.-tron comes to life.]
Celebration!
[A limping Jimmy the Klepto is shown on the big screen, and he appears to be happier than ever. Dr. Payne is a few steps behind him, and he still appears to be in agony from the number that Griffin Youngblood did on him earlier. Jimmy is too busy celebrating to worry about injuries, though. Cody Duckett wheels past them with Cormier's hot coffee, but the careless klepto is so caught up in the celebration that he tips the poor paraplegic over, causing him to spill pipin' hot coffee all over himself!]

Cody Duckett:: Ah! Ah, Christ! It burns everywhere! Everywhere except my legs! Ahhhhh!

Jimmy the Klepto:: We did it, buddy! We're going to the finals! Woo! Dr. Payne and Jimmy the Klepto bound for tag team gold at Explosivo!!!

[Jimmy jumps up onto Dr. Payne and wraps his arms around him in a big hug, but Payne isn't in the mood. Payne places a hand over Jimmy's face and shoves him into the wall. Jimmy falls onto his buttocks and stares up at the man whom he adores.]

Dr. Payne:: Look, the only reason...ONLY REASON...that we're a tag team is because by some freak accident we were drawn together in this stupid Lethal Lottery! We're not friends, we're tag team partners. Nothing more. You'll never replace Allen Stevenson, so stop trying to. Just leave me alone, okay? Leave me alone.

[Payne storms off as Jimmy looks after him with a hurt look in his eyes.]
Interview: Brian Zane & Billy Sadistic
Cliff Anderson:: The hyperactive antics of Jimmy the Klepto are really getting to the Good Doctor. But right now, we've got an interview backstage with Brian Zane and Billy Sadistic.

[The A.W.A.-tron switches over to a shot of Reece Williams standing in front of an A.W.A. backdrop. However, only Brian Zane is present.]

Reece Williams:: Hello. I'm here with Brian Zane. Brian, your partner, Billy Sadistic, is supposed to be here also. Any idea where he is?

Brian Zane:: Reece, I don't know and I don't care. As long as he shows up and holds up for the tag team match I could care less what he does with his free time.

Reece Williams:: Do you think this could be any indication that he might not show up for the match? After all, Sadistic's stated that he doesn't care if you guys win or lose. He said he'd just as soon slap your face as he would slap your hand.

Brian Zane:: Reece, Billy Sadistic is all talk. Both you and I know that he's gonna do everything in his power to make sure we make it to the finals. He wants to prove to the fans, and more importantly, to himself that he's got what it takes to wear gold in the A.W.A.

Reece Williams:: Well, he has been known to fly off the handle from time to time. But let's talk about your opponents. It's public knowledge that Josh McCool and Revilation aren't the best of friends. What do you think your chances of moving past those two in the Lethal Lottery are?

Brian Zane:: If there's one thing you need to learn it's that when it comes to Brian Zane, there's no such thing as chance, because the Z-Man is a sure thing.

[Zane heads for the ring as Reece just shrugs her shoulders.]

Lethal Lottery Tag Team Championship Tournament:
Round #2:
Billy Sadistic & Brian Zane vs. Revilation & Josh McCool
Finals
[Revilation and Josh McCool are already in the ring as Brian Zane heads down the aisle. Billy Sadistic is the last man out, and he's got his Hardcore Championship on his shoulder. Brian Zane and Josh McCool start the match off. McCool overpowers the Z-Man and goes to work on the technician's back. The Son of a Bitch tags in Revilation who continues working on Zane's back. Revilation and McCool work well together trying to break Zane's back right off of his body. Zane fights back and goes to the corner, but Sadistic just turns his back. The fans aren't sure what to think of this as Revilation drags Zane back across the ring and tags in McCool. The beating continues with Sadistic standing on the ring apron with a silly grin on his face.]

Cliff Anderson:: The Phenom won't tag in. He's letting Josh McCool and Revilation wipe the floor with him.

[Zane hits a clothesline on McCool and crawls to his corner. Zane reaches for the tag, but Sadistic just looks at him. The fans actually begin booing the Phenom, but he doesn't seem to mind. McCool tags in Revilation who darts across the ring and drills Sadistic, knocking him off the ring apron. Zane is pulled away from the tag that wasn't going to happen anyhow by Revilation. Revilation and McCool illegally doubleteam Zane before the referee finally forces McCool from the ring. Revilation is in firm control, but a botched backdrop allows Zane to gain his second win. Zane begins cleaning house and both Revilation and McCool, then staggers to his corner with his hand outstretched for the tag. Sadistic climbs back up onto the ring apron and stares at him for a moment before decking him in the mouth. The contact constitutes a tag and Sadistic is a house of fire taking both McCool and Revilation down with clothesline after clothesline. All hell breaks loose as the four men brawl in the ring. Revilation boots Sadistic in the gut and lifts him into the air for the Sacrifyce, but the Phenom repositions himself in mid-flight and plants Revilation with the Sadistic DDT. The impact pops Revilation back up to his feet where he stumbles back into a schoolboy rollup from Brian Zane. Sadistic goes to cut off McCool but gets hammered with the Facelift! Zane holds the ropes for leverage as the referee makes the count. 1...2...3! McCool dives to make the save, but it's too late!]

Cliff Anderson:: Zane and Sadistic have done it. They'll face Dr. Payne and Jimmy the Klepto at Explosivo in the finals!
A receipt.
[McCool appears upset, but more so at Revilation than Brian Zane or Billy Sadistic. Revilation slowly makes it to his feet and comes nose to nose with the Son of a Bitch. The two exchange words before exchanging punches. Zane regains his wits in the corner as Sadistic watches the two big men slug it out. A Josh McCool clothesline sends both men to the outside of the ring. Sadistic continues watching as Zane walks up behind him. The Z-Man spins the Phenom around, boots him in the stomach, and plants him with the BZT! The fans begin booing as Zane rolls out of the ring. Sadistic is left laying in the middle of the ring as the battle between Revilation and Josh McCool continues on the outside.]

Cliff Anderson:: Folks, all hell has broken loose!

[Revilation scores with a low blow on McCool, then rams him headfirst into the ringpost. McCool goes down in a heap as blood begins to flow from his forehead. Zane backpeddles up the aisle with a smirk on his face as Sadistic slowly sits up with a pained expression on his face. Zane points to his temple as Sadistic stares after him. Sadistic slowly nods his head as a grin spreads across his face.]
Crossing Paths
[Mikey Wryght makes his way down to the ring for his next match and pays no attention to all of the carnage around and in the ring. Kris Kartier, the Atlantic and Television Champion, is the next one out. As he makes his way to the ring Revilation meets him halfway up the aisle. Both men stop and look at each other. Kartier is all business. Revilation, on the other hand, just looks at Kartier and begins laughing. Revilation brushes past Kartier laughing all the while as Kartier shakes his head and walks down to the ring.]
Main Event
Standard, 15 Minute Time Limit
Kris Kartier vs. Mikey Wryght
Cliff Anderson:: This is it. The main event. The Television Championship is on the line. Nobody has been able to stop Kris Kartier's reign of terror yet. Does "Mr. Showtime" have what it takes?

[The match starts out in Kris Kartier's favor. The self-proclaimed "Main Event" goes to work on Showtime's shoulder hoping to soften him up for the Karta-Hajime. The fans dislike both men and are split on who to cheer and who to boo. Kartier takes a few seconds to flip off the crowd, making their decision a bit easier. Kartier tries to put Showtime away early with his high-impact offense, but Wryght won't stay down.]

Cliff Anderson:: Kris Kartier is trying to put Mikey Wryght away and get this match over with, but Showtime is proving to be something of a pest.

[Showtime fights back and swings the favor of the match under his control. Wryght focuses on Kartier's knee, but a quick thumb to Showtime's eye puts Kartier back in control. Ten minutes have gone by as Kartier continues to focus on the shoulder. The seconds tick by as Kartier locks in the Karta-Hajime! Fortunately for Showtime he's able to get to the ropes. Kartier is forced to break the hold, but Showtime's shoulder is really bothering him. Kartier plants Showtime with the Last Serenade. 1...2...kickout! Kartier is stunned, but he continues to go after Showtime. Kartier hits the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Showtime catches him in a drop toe hold. Wryght maneuvers around until he has Kartier locked in the Annoyance! There are still two minutes left in the match as Showtime wrenches on the hold. Kartier fights for all he's worth to get to the ropes. The ropes are almost within reach as Kartier reaches that little extra. Before he can grab the bottom strand he's pulled back to the center of the ring. The fans begin cheering as the thirty second mark passes by. Kartier is hurting in a bad way as he struggles to free himself. The fans begin to count down the clock as Showtime applies more pressure.]

Crowd:: Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three.

[Tap, tap, tap! Kartier couldn't handle the pain anymore and was forced to tap out. Wryght releases the hold and falls to his back as the time expires two seconds later.]

Cliff Anderson:: We have a NEW Television Champion!
Refused Winnings
[Referee Perry Daton raises Showtime's hand in victory as Kartier clutches his knee on the mat. The referee attempts to hand the belt to Mikey Wryght, but he refuses to accept it. He hops up onto the turnbuckle to celebrate, then heads to the back leaving the Television Championship in the hands of the referee. The show fades to black with Perry Daton holding the belt in the middle of the ring with a confused look on his face.]
