Introduction
["We Die Young" by Alice in Chains kicks off Riptide as a small lighting display starts up around the A.W.A.-Tron. Cliff Anderson and Jack Deruke are already in position at their crummy little commentating station as the near-sellout crowd comes to its feet.]

Cliff Anderson:: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Riptide. We've got a great show lined up for you tonight. In the main event, the reigning Atlantic and Television Champion, Kris Kartier, is set to defend his T.V. title against rival Larry Thompson. These two men hate each other, so I'm not expecting a wrestling match, I'm expecting a fight.

Jack Deruke:: Yeah, and we also got the second round of that silly little Heavyweight Championship Tourn. Don't forget about that, jerky.

Cliff Anderson:: Don't worry, Jack, I didn't forget. And speaking of forgetting, let's not forget the Hardcore Championship. The current champion, Revilation, the man that many consider to be the future of the Hardcore division, takes on a hardcore legend from the past in Billy Sadistic. Violence is the name of the game here, folks.
Opener
Battle Royal
Gutter, Jimmy the Klepto, Machine, Josh McCool, Donny J. McNasty, Nick Teredo
Atlantic Championship #1 Contendership
[The opening match of the evening, a six-man battle royal for the number one contendership to the Atlantic Championship, begins with a flurry of punches and kicks. Josh McCool and Jimmy the Klepto team up on Gutter and it's not long before they have the intoxicated brawler over the top rope. Gutter has been eliminated. Donny J. McNasty and Nick Teredo have gotten into a heated brawl on one side of the ring. Machine levels Jimmy the Klepto with a big boot, then turns his attentions to the Son of a Bitch. McNasty has Teredo down in the corner where he begins hammering his mercilessly. Teredo fights back and it's McNasty now on the defensive. Jimmy attacks Machine from behind, but the Giant German lays Jimmy to rest with the Goozle. As this is happening, McCool bounces off the ropes and nails Machine in the back with the Facelift, sending him over the top rope to the arena floor. Machine has been eliminated. McCool kindly helps Jimmy to his feet, then boots him in the mid-section. The Son of a Bitch whips Jimmy into the ropes, then bounces off the far side and swings for the fences with the Facelift. Jimmy ducks underneath, rebounds off the opposite side, and takes the big man to the ground with the Five Finger Discount!]

Cliff Anderson:: Jimmy the Klepto has just taken McCool to the mat, and we're down to our final four!

[Nick Teredo and Donny J. McNasty are up against the ropes choking the life out of each other and are too busy to see the A.W.A.'s favorite thief sneaking up behind them. In a flash, Jimmy dumps both men over the top rope to the delight of the crowd. Donny J. McNasty and Nick Teredo have been eliminated. Jimmy prances around happily as McCool regains his wits. The klepto tries to keep the Son of a Bitch down, but he keeps getting back up. Jimmy has McCool rocking against the ropes with big right hands, then hits the ropes and charges McCool with a head of steam. McCool springs off the ropes and meets Jimmy the Klepto in the center of the ring with the Facelift. McCool receives a few cheers from the usually hostile crowd. The Son of a Bitch gorilla presses Jimmy over his head, walks to the edge of the ring, and dumps him over the top rope. Jimmy the Klepto has been eliminated. McCool triumphantly hops up onto the second turnbuckle with his fists in the air as his music blasts over the P.A. system.]

Cliff Anderson:: Josh McCool wins! The Son of the Bitch is now the number one contender to Kris Kartier's Atlantic Championship.
Meeting with the Past
[A shot of a locker room pops up on the A.W.A.-Tron. Sitting in the locker room on a bench is El Chupacabra. A drunken Gutter can be seen laying in the corner with a bottle of...something...clutched in his hand. The sound of the door opening can be heard from behind the camera. El Chupacabra looks up.]

Billy Sadistic:: Where's Pumpkinhead?

[El Chupacabra simply shrugs his shoulders.]

Billy Sadistic:: I'm gonna get to the bottom of this one way or another. Now, we can either do this the easy way...

[The door suddenly slams shut.]

Billy Sadistic:: Or we can do this the hard way...

[The sound of footsteps can be heard coming closer as El Chupacabra stands and steps backwards over the bench. Suddenly, Gutter begins babbling incoherently. The footsteps stop as Gutter looks past the camera as Sadistic.]

Gutter:: Y...you want anshers? You'll g...get dem tonight.

[With that, Gutter's head falls to one side as he passes out. El Chupacabra looks at the Phenom, who is still just off-camera. There is a moment of silence before the door opens and closes. El Chupacabra looks at Gutter, then back at the door before shrugging again and sitting back down on the bench.]

Standard, Tag Team
Glitz and Glamour vs. El Chupacabra & Pumpkinhead
---
[Johnny Glitz and Bobby Glamour are the first team out, accompanied by the lovely ladies, Amber Crombie and Fitch. The crowd boos the red carpet quartet as the enter the ring and await their opponents. Pumpkinhead and El Chupacabra are out next. The fans great them with mild cheers, but they don't appear to care. The match starts off with Pumpkinhead and Bobby Glamour. Bobby Glamour has his way with Pumpkinhead before tagging in Glitz. Glitz also has his way with Pumpkinhead. Glitz and Glamour dominate Pumpkinhead before he finally tags in El Chupacabra. El Chupacabra fares no better. In fact, something looks a little bit off. It seems like El Chupacabra and Pumpkinhead aren't even trying. It seems like they're just going through the motions. The crowd picks up on this and begins booing.]

Cliff Anderson:: Something's going on here. I mean, Glitz and Glamour are good, but this is ridiculous. El Chupacabra hasn't even gotten in one offensive move, and neither has Pumpkinhead.

[After several minutes of Glitz and Glamour dominating, they finally put El Chupacabra away with the Coming Attraction with some help from an Amber Crombie and Fitch distraction. Pumpkinhead tries to interfere, but he gets taken out with a double DDT. Glitz makes the cover on El Chupacabra and the fans are thankful that the match is finally over.]

Jack Deruke:: Them two little punk bastards got beat like they stole something.
Opening up a can...
[Glitz and Glamour, along with Amber Crombie and Fitch, all celebrate their big win in the ring over the bodies of El Chupacabra and Glitz and Glamour. After taking a few snapshots of their fallen opponents, they hit the turnbuckles to pose for their "adoring" crowd. As they're doing so, Pumpkinhead and El Chupacabra slowly sit up. The crowd goes haywire. Pumpkinhead pulls off his orange mask to reveal a bald, tattooed head as El Chupacabra pulls off his mask to reveal a full head of dreadlocks and a face painted like a clown. Upon seeing this, the fans go nuts!]

Cliff Anderson:: It's the Folk! Jigsaw and Jingles! The Folk are back! They've been posing as Pumpkinhead and El Chupacabra this whole time!

[Jigsaw spins Johnny Glitz around and lifts him over his head, then drops him with the Strongman Press. Jingles hops up onto the top ropes as Bobby Glamour spins around. Jingles hops off the top rope and hits a flying headscissors that sends "Beautiful" Bobby out of the ring. Jigsaw grabs Fitch by the hair and tosses her out of the ring, leaving Amber Crombie in the ring with the Folk all alone. The fans a cheering like mad as Jigsaw lifts her onto his shoulders while Jingles climbs to the top rope. The fans are out of control as Jingles flies off the top rope with a clothesline that sends Crombie head over heels, causing her skirt to fly up in the process. Crombie is left face down with her black thong showing as Jigsaw and Jingles rampage around the ring to the cheers of the crowd!]
Now you're messin' with a...
["Son of a Bitch" Josh McCool is seen on the A.W.A.-Tron with a steel chair in hand as he walks down a hallway somewhere in the back of the Chesapeake Armory. The lovely Reece Williams saunters into view with a microphone in hand. McCool stops abrupty, but he's got happy grin on his face.]

Reece Williams:: I'm here with the number one contender to the Atlantic Championship, Josh McCool. McCool, where, may I ask, are you going with that steel chair?

Josh McCool:: Reece, Revilation was kind enough to help me out with my match against Grendel a few days ago. I think it's only fair that I return the favor.

[McCool raises the chair into view and slaps the steel a few times with his free hand. Then, he strolls out of view whistling the tune to "Hair of the Dog."]

Hardcore
Revilation vs. Billy Sadistic
[Billy Sadistic is the first man out, only he looks different. He's wearing denim overalls and a black mask.]

Cliff Anderson:: It looks like it'll be William Ian Dillinger fighting for the Hardcore Championship, not Billy Sadistic.

Jack Deruke:: He may have a mask on, but he's still the same fruit to me.

[Rather than wait in the ring, Sadistic waits to the side of the entrance. Revilation is out next and he's got a chain in one hand and his championship belt in the other. Sadistic jumps him as soon as he out and the chain and belt go flying. Sadistic is merciless in his assault slamming the champion into anything and everything. The Phenom pounds Revilation with unrelenting right hands, then throws him over the steel guardrail into the audience. Fans scatter as Sadistic goes for a suicide dive over the barrier, but Revilation moves out of the way. Sadistic crashes through a few rows of chairs as Revilation takes over. Revilation tries to choke out the Sadistic one with a chair, then piledrives him on the concrete. Revilation makes the cover, but Sadistic kicks out at the last second. The brawl spills back over into the aisle, allowing Revilation to grab his chain and go to work. Revilation wraps the chain around his fist, then begins pounding Sadistic in the head with it. The champion rips off the Phenom's mask, revealing a bloody face. Revilation begins choking Sadistic with the chain as he drags him towards the ring.]

Cliff Anderson:: This match started out in Sadistic's favor, but things have taken a dramatic twist...

Jack Deruke:: Yeah, it started in Sadistic's favor...he jumped 'im from behind.

[Revilation continues his assault on the Phenom, but Sadistic fights back. The fans are getting behind the Sadistic One as the blood continues to drip from his face. Both men are going at it blow for blow when Sadistic lands a boot to the mid-section, followed by the Sadistic DDT! The crowd pops, but both men are down. Sadistic is still dazed, but after a short while he manages to crawl over and throw an arm over the champion. 1...2...kickout! Sadistic is still dazed but rolls out of the ring and begins searching under the ring. After a few moments, he pulls out a baseball bat with a rag wrapped around it, and a lighter. Rolling back into the ring, Sadistic touches flame to bat and the flaming baseball bat lives again. The crowd goes nuts as Sadistic stands over Revilation with the flaming bat raised above his head. Revilation makes it to his knees and gazes up at the flames. His eyes grow wide, and suddenly, they grow even wider. Out of nowhere, Josh McCool has hit the ring with steel chair in hand, and he nails the Phenom in the back with it. Sadistic drops the bat and the flames die out as he falls to a knee. Revilation looks a bit confused as he stands and looks down at Sadistic. McCool isn't done, though. He cracks Revilation across the head with the chair, laying him out. Sadistic is slowly up and McCool tees off on him one more time. Sadistic falls in a heap on top of Revilation and the referee is there to make the count. McCool hops out of the ring and heads to the back with a dented chair. 1...2...3!]

Cliff Anderson:: Josh McCool has just bashed both of their skulls in, and now we have a new Hardcore Champion! Unbelievable...
The Commissioner is missing.
[The A.W.A.-Tron comes to life in the office of Richard Cormier. He appears to be a little agitated sitting behind his crummy desk. He's speaking with somebody sitting on the other side of his desk, but the angle of the camera prevents them from being seen.]

Richard Cormier:: Now, W. William Suhgs hasn't been into work for a whole week, and he hasn't called in sick or even so much as notified us of his absence. As a result, Suhgs has been fired from his position as Commissioner here in the A.W.A.

[Even though Suhgs wasn't exactly a fair Commissioner, the fans still appreciately his goofiness. The fans boo Cormier's decision.]

Richard Cormier:: I'm not looking to hire a new Commissioner just yet, but I could use an aid. You know, somebody to help me out with my daily routine. Do you think this is something you could handle?

Unknown Man:: You bet. I could do anything, if I wanted...

Richard Cormier:: Congratulations, then. You've got yourself a job.

[The camera pans around to reveal former A.W.A. wrestler Cody Duckett sitting in a wheelchair. He's obviously still paralyzed from the assault that former A.W.A. star Arkham unleashed on him.]

Richard Cormier:: Good, now run along and get me a cup of coffee...

Round #2:
Mikey Wryght vs. Dr. Payne
Finals
[The match starts with Payne getting the upper hand. The crowd is clearly behind the Good Doctor. Payne scores several nearfalls in the early stages of the match, but Showtime won't stay down. Wryght takes over and scores a handful of nearfalls on the gynecologist. However, neither man is able to get a distinct advantage. The two seem to be evenly matched, and the match is a back and forth affair. One minute Dr. Payne has the advantage and the next minute Mikey Wryght is back in control. The two men put on a great match and the crowd is really getting into it. Out of nowhere, Payne locks in the Vaginal Claw causing the crowd to come to their feet!]

Cliff Anderson:: Payne's got the Vaginal Claw locked in! The referee is warning him to break the hold, but Payne is gonna use all of that five-count.

[Payne does just that, holding the claw just long enough so that the ref doesn't disqualify him. Payne takes control of the match and begins to wear down Showtime. Payne continues to score nearfalls, but Showtime just won't stay down. Towards the end of the match, Wryght catches the doctor off guard and begins a comeback. Showtime has Payne rocking and goes for the Spotlight. Payne reverses out of it, shoves Showtime into the ropes, and boots him in the gut. Showtime doubles over and Payne plants him with Sweet Payne. Dr. Payne covers him and hooks the leg to get the three count and move on in the tourney.]
The gynecologist and the thief.
[The camera follows Payne backstage, and he appears ecstatic that he's reached the finals of the Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Jimmy the Klepto darts into view and catches the Good Doctor by surprise in doing so. Payne looks down at his Lethal Lottery tag team partner but isn't quite sure what's going on. Jimmy, for his part, is only wearing a bandana over the top of his head has a goofy half-grin on his face.]

Dr. Payne:: Jimmy, what's with the funny smile?

Jimmy the Klepto:: No, no. It's not a funny smile, it's a cocky smirk. A cocky half-smirk. I stole it from Mr. Showtime. How do you like it?

[Payne just kinda shrugs his shoulders. Without warning, Jimmy wraps his arms around the Good Doctor in a giant hug. Payne quickly shoves Jimmy away.]

Dr. Payne:: What the heck do you think you're doing?

Jimmy the Klepto:: Giving you a big congratulations hug for making it to the finals! Oh, don't worry about me stealing your spot in the finals...I wouldn't do that to a friend.

Dr. Payne:: Jimmy, look, I know we're tag team partners in the Lethal Lottery and you seem like an okay guy, even though you've got some eccentric qualities, but we're not friends. Okay?

[With that, Payne continues on down the hall leaving poor Jimmy all alone. The half-smirk slowly vanishes, replaced with a look of sadness as Jimmy looks on after Dr. Payne.]

Round #2:
Griffin Youngblood vs. Brian Zane
Finals
[The crowd doesn't seem to care for either of the participants in this match as they boo both men. However, once the match begins the fans forget about good guys and bad guys and get caught up in the technical masterpiece that both men put on. No matter what Zane does or tries, Griffin always has a counter or reversal at his disposal. However, the same holds true for Zane when Griffin goes on the offensive. Every hold either man tries is either countered or reversed. And it doesn't stop there. Each man has a counter to a counter to a counter. Nearfalls are abundant.]

Cliff Anderson:: Griffin Youngblood is the greatest technical wrestler I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing, but Brian Zane is proving that he can hang with the best right here.

[Brian Zane is the first man to break the rules to gain an advantage, but Griffin Youngblood immediately follows suit. Eye rakes, fish hooks, and hair pulling take place as what was once a technical masterpiece has now turned into a knockdown, dragout brawl. The battle goes to the outside of the ring where both men use anything they can get their hands on to beat the living tar out of each other. The referee's count is getting dangerously close to ten, but both men continue to pummel one another. At the last second Zane rolls Griffin into the ring and follows him in. Both men pull out all the stops, but can't quite keep the other man down. Both men are physically exhausted in their quests to best the other. Zane hits a bridging German suplex and the referee makes the count. 1...2...3! The fans are a bit shocked as the referee confers with the timekeeper. After a few moments, a replay to the ending of the match is shown on the A.W.A.-Tron. The camera is zoomed in on the cover. Both Griffin Youngblood and Brian Zane's shoulders are on the mat as the referee counts. Therefore, the referee has ruled the match a draw.]

Cliff Anderson:: A draw? What does this mean for the Heavyweight Championship Tournament? Will Dr. Payne automatically be crowned the champion?
Clarification
[The A.W.A.-Tron is at it again with footage from the backstage area. The Television and Atlantic Champion, "Souled Out" Kris Kartier, is walking towards the ring with a smirk on his face and a belt on each shoulder. Without warning, he's blindsided by the giant meathook of Machine! Machine unleashes an unrelenting assault on Kartier that ends with a Goozle on the cold, hard concrete! Rosco Pico Train pops into view from behind the Giant German and stares down at Kris Kartier, who appears to be in a great deal of pain.]

Rosco Pico Train:: I'm Nightbane, champ! Not that blonde idiot, Thompson! So don't forget it!

[That being said, Rosco leads Machine away as Kartier tries to gather himself for his title defense.

Cliff Anderson:: Gosh. I don't think Kartier's gonna be in any condition to compete out here against Larry Thompson.
Main Event
Standard, 15 Minute Time Limit
Kris Kartier vs. Larry Thompson
[Larry Thompson is the first one out, and he looks to be ready for a fight. He receives a mixed reaction from the crowd. Some of the people think he's a jerk, some think he's a badass, but none of them are wrong. Thompson waits as Kartier slowly limps out from the back. He's not in good shape, but he heads to the ring regardless. He slides into the ring, but Thompson doesn't care. He starts stomping away on the champion before the match even begins. The referee collects the belts and calls for the bell as Thompson works over the injured Kris Kartier. The fans feel no sympathy either as they egg on Thompson and the punishment he inflicts on Kartier. Kartier tries to fight back, but his body is in too much pain and Thompson's assault is too much to fend off. The wrestler for hire goes to work on Kartier's head ramming it into all four turnbuckles before dropping him with a running bulldog and a cover. 1...2...kickout.]

Cliff Anderson:: Kris Kartier shouldn't even be competing out here tonight. Machine really did a number on him.

Jack Deruke:: Hey, what comes around goes around, I always say.

[Thompson unleashes one high-impact move after another on Kartier, but Kartier keeps kicking out of his pinfall attempts. Thompson appears frustrated. Every time Kartier attempts to mount a comeback Thompson puts him back down on the mat. It appears that Tompson is just toying with the champion as he doesn't seriously attempt to put away Kartier. He looks like he's just out to punish the man. Thompson goes for a vertical suplex, but Kartier slips down his back. That one mistake was all it took for Kartier to lock in the Karta-Hajime. The fans come to their feet as Thompson struggles to break free. Kartier pulls him to the mat and locks his legs around him, but Thompson fights to his knees and is back on his feet with Kartier clinging to his back. The fans cheer for Thompson to break free as Thompson drives backwards smashing Kartier into the turnbuckle. He does so twice. Three times. Four times. After the fifth time, Kartier finally releases the hold and staggers out of the corner. An exhausted Thompson whirls around and boots Kartier in the gut, then goes for the N.K.N. DDT. Kartier shoves Thompson off, boots him in the gut, and plants him with the Last Serenade. Kartier covers as the referee makes the count. 1...2...3!]
Greed
[Kartier hobbles out of the ring, grabs his belt, and limps to the back. Thompson slowly stands in the ring and he doesn't look happy. As he walks to the center of the ring the lights go dim. The crowd grows silent as a purple haze fills the arena. The woman by the name of Destini appears on the A.W.A.-Tron with a hint of evil in her eyes.]

Destini:: Larry Thompson...you have sinned.

[The A.W.A.-Tron fades to black. Rose pedals begin falling from the ceiling. Suddenly, the arena goes pitch black. Movement is heard in the ring. When the lights come back on, Larry Thompson has been laid out in the center of the ring. The purple rose pedals make out a five-letter word. The word is...]

Cliff Anderson:: Greed? The purple rose pedals have formed the word Greed? I take it that was Larry Thompson's sin.

Jack Deruke:: You figure that out all by yourself? I'm very proud of ya...

[The show ends with a shot of Larry Thompson laying in the middle ring with the word "Greed" spelled out in purple rose pedals.]
