1967 Camaro RS vs. 2007 Camaro

 

 

 

 

 

The 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport has a top speed capability of around 110 mph/ 117kmh. The small block Chevy engine was capable of powers up to 275 hp at 4800 rpm. The Camaro went 18 miles per gallon when it was brand new. In 1967 10 675 RS models were sold. The 2007 Camaro provides the looks of a new sports car while maintaining the same fender curves, and classic look on the interior.

The 1968 Dodge Charger R/T can reach a top speed of 150 mph/ 241 kph. the V-8 7.2 Liter engine provided a power rating of up to 375 hp at 3200 rpm. This engine gets 8.1 miles per gallon, but that was in 1968. The Charger had many cool features including signal indicators on the hood scoop, headlights hidden under the grill, and a gas cap with a wire attached to stop people from stealing them for souvenirs. Unlike the Mustang and the Camaro, the new 2006 Hemi Charger it now has a sporty sedan look to it.

The 1966 Pontiac GTO has a top speed capability of 135 mph/217 kph. The 456 cid engine provides the wheels with 360 hp at 5000 rpm. the efficiency is between 8 and 12 miles per gallon. between 1964 and 1971 497,122 Pontiac GTO models were built. This hardtop two door car could fit a passenger load up to 5 people. the 2004 GTO has no classic look, but keeps the high performance running in the Pontiac family.

The 1965 Ford Mustang reached a top speed of 127 mph/204 kph. The Mustang's 428 cid engine creates 271 hp at 6000 rpm. the efficiency is 13 miles per gallon. This car was and still is the Camaro's Biggest competitor on the market since 1967. The 2006 Ford Mustang provides a half classic and half modern look. The above right picture is a 2006 Mustang dressed up as the Eleanor Mustang from "Gone in 60 Seconds" the movie.

The 1963 Corvette Stingray could reach a top speed of 152 mph/245 kph. The 427 cid engine can produce between 390 hp and 560 hp. The efficiency of this Vette is between 9 and 16 miles per gallon. Unlike most cars, the Corvette has its gas tank installed along with the spare tire in the trunk. 118 964 Corvette Stingrays were made during 1963 and 1967. Two flags symbolizing sporting descent and the GM corporate can be found on every Corvette produced to this day.

The 1964 Chevrolet Impala is capable of reaching speeds of 90-135 mph/145-217 kph. The 348 cid engine put 335 hp to the road at 5800 rpm. The efficiency is between 14 and 17 moles per gallon. the production line produced 500 000 Impalas during the 1960's. The Chevrolet Malibu used to be similar to the Impala, but now as you can see, they have turned it into a hatchback. Unlike the Pontiac GTO, Chevy has not passed down the performance  and power through the family.

 

1973 Ferrari 246 GT vs. 2004 Ferrari 360 Modena

 

 

 

 

The 1973 Ferrari 246 GT was able to reach speed of 148 mph/238 kph. The V-6 2.4 Liter engine was capable of producing powers up to 195 bhp at 5000 rpm. Due to the high price of the Ferrari brand the production was low at 2 487 cars between 1969 and 1974. The high price pays off with an engine efficiency of 22 miles per gallon. The Ferrari symbol is well known as the horse standing on its hind legs.

 

1966 Lamborghini Miura vs. 2006 Lamborghini Miura

 

 

 

 

The 1966 Lamborghini Miura was capable of reaching speeds in the 175 mph/282 kph range. The V-12 4 Liter engine provided 385 bhp of power at 7850 rpm. Similar to the Ferrari, the production for this car was extremely low due to the high retail price. The production was 800 cars between 1966 and 1972. The steering was on the left hand side and would be awkward for modern drivers.
