It was the 3rd meeting between the two fighters, with Jayla winning the 2nd meeting on a tough 5 round decision, and a draw the first time out. But this time it was a motivated, and aggresive Jayla Ortiz who pressed the very strong Villareal throughout the bout. The well conditioned and skillful Ortiz gets back on the winning track as she moves to 12-8-4, 3 ko's and picks up the vacant NABC Jr. Lightweight Title.

Denver's Camarena easily outslicks Hantindi over 10 rounds with a unanimous decision. Donald Camarena bounces back from ESPN2 loss to Paul Malignaggi and goes to 17-2, 9 ko's. Hantindi now 10-8-2.

Las Vegas NM's Gallegos uses height and reach advantage to pick up a hard fought, but well earned victory over El Paso's Carlos Madrid. Gallegos now 16-2, 5 ko's. Madrid drops 2nd straight after starting our 6-0, and falls to 6-2, 2 ko's.

Undefeated Light Heavyweight JASON BRAY of Albuquerque will begin working with Trainer Dan Cushner of Double D Boxing. He will travel to Santa Fe from Albuquerque to train at the new Double D Boxing Gym. Jason is 6-0 as a professional, and has returned from a stint in Semi-Pro Football league to climb back into the ring wars! Dan says Jason is a great young man and looks forward to working with him. Jason was in attendance at the Double-D Enterprises show in Santa Fe and was introduced to the crowd.
CINCO DE MAYO TRIFECTA CARD TO BE TELEVISED ON TAPE DELAY!
The Cinco De Mayo Trifecta Boxing Card will be televised on public access channel 27 in Albuquerque NM. Producer/Host Dan Sisneros says that the 1 hour program will feature a different bout from the card for the next several shows. The program will also air on public access stations in Proctor MN, Stillwater MN, Fergus Falls MN, and Grass Valley CA. Dates and times are TBA.
