Welcome to my bird page. This site is a collection of bird pictures I have taken since Feb 1999 with the Nikon Coolpix 950 and Coolpix 990 digital camera in combination with a Leica Apo-Televid 77 mm spotting scope. Most of the birds are Malaysian species with a sprinkling of foreign birds shot abroad. In Malaysia we have over 600 species of birds. Some are migratory birds that are seen only during the northern winter months. What I have here is just a small collection. In my own way, I am trying to promote Malaysia as a birding destination as the birds are much prettier in real life than my pictures can depict. 

This is my first attempt at web design and I have decided to keep it simple and just showcase my work with thumbnails which will open to a larger image when clicked. If there are any shortcomings, please excuse me and let me know at pohsp@pc.jaring.my

I hope you will enjoy your browse through. Please come back often. As with some sites, this one will perpetually be under construction as I add more birds to my collection.  The birds are not in any order. Just enjoy them for their beauty and I hope that you will find pleasure from them as much as I had derived from shooting them.
