Decent game from Tyson as Wigan beat Carlisle 5-3. Tyson played the first third and half the final third, and while he was on, Wigan didn't concede a goal.

Average performance from Tyson as Wigan continue their disappointing start to the season with a 4-1 defeat at Stockport

Tyson played quite well as Wigan started their season off with a 2-1 loss away to Blackpool.


Wigan ask Tyson to sign for four years. They believe he has the ability, as long as he works hard and continues to improve.

16th Apr 2000 Tyson scored with a great shot from the edge of the penalty area as Wigan won against Blackpool. He began the game in defence, but ended up in his more familiar central midfield role.

9th Apr 2000 Wigan beat Preston 2-0. Tyson was told after the game that he had been outstanding.

1st Apr 2000 Ruffwood lost their last game this season 1-0 to Knowsley Hey

26th Mar 2000 Wigan were beaten by Tranmere 3-1. The Wigan team were very "average".

25th Mar 2000 Ruffwood lost 1-0 to a strong SFX team. Tyson played well in the 1st half.

19th Mar 2000 On a difficult pitch, Tyson coped well and helped Wigan beat Carlisle 2-0.

5th Mar 2000 After being two goals down, Wigan fought back to lead 3-2. They eventually lost 4-3 but were a little unlucky. Tyson played and passed the ball well. He scored directly from a free kick.

20th Feb 2000 Wigan played quite well as they beat Bury 4-0. They passed the ball a little more and worked quite hard. Tyson had his normal decent game, in conditions which worsened throughout the game.

13th Feb 2000 Another poor team performance from Wigan as they lost 5-2 to Burnley. Tyson played the whole game and was one of only three players who came out of the game with any credit.

6th Feb 2000 Wigan lost to Blackpool 3-2. Tyson played to quarters and he thought, played well. The team needs to look up and pass the ball.

2nd Feb 2000 Ruffwood lose 5-2 to strong Brookfield team. Tyson worked hard and never gave up. Unfortunately some of his team mates don't have the same attitude.

31st Jan 2000 Wigan's game called off due to weather.

30th Jan 2000 Tyson helps Ruffwood beat Knowsley Hey 4-1 in very difficult conditions.

23rd Jan 2000 After ten minutes or so Tyson was kicked on the top of his foot and had to come off. Wigan lost 4-1 to Tranmere

22nd Jan 2000 Ruffwood came back well to draw 4-4 after going 4 goals down against SFX. This was Tyson's first game since before Xmas.

28th Nov '99 Wigan beat Bury 1-0, in a hard fought game. Tyson played well and set up the only goal with a great pass.

21st Nov '99 Wigan lose for the second time to Oldham. Again, Tyson has a good game.

20th Nov '99 Roughwood lose to a school from Oldham, but Tyson scored twice and had a very good game.

14th Nov '99 Solid game at right back for Wigan.

13th Nov '99 First ever game for his school, Roughwood. Played really well.

31st Oct '99 Another good performance in midfield. Scored with an excellent shot.

17th Oct '99 Solid, hard working performance from Tyson, playing in his usual position. Pity the rest of the team couldn't manage some effort.

9th Oct '99 Just a practice match amongst themselves at Christopher Park. Tyson played the frist quarter at right back. For the rest of the match, he operated in the centre of midfield, and showed just what he can do, by scoring with a powerful 20 yard shot, passed the ball well and set up a number of chances.

3rd Oct '99 Even though the team lost both halves against Tranmere, Tyson still put in a good performance.(Still at right back)

19th Sept '99 Much better show from Tyson. Still playing at right back, he was strong and confident.(Bury)

12th Sept '99 Poor performance from Tyson, even though he was suffering from 'flu. He again started the game at right back, but later had two quarters in midfield.(Oldham)

5th Sept '99 Tyson played his first competitive game for Wigan. Even though he played right back, a position he has never played before, Tyson had a very strong game. The game was eight a side, as will all Wigan's games , up to Christmas.

5th Aug '99 Town Green had been invited into a champions tournament and Tyson played in the first game. he played very well and helped them to a 3-1 victory.

3rd Aug '99 Tyson was invited to play for Layfield in an International tournament. He enjoyed himself and did his reputation a power of good in the 7-1 win.

25th July '99 Town Green won the NAC summer league Cup final after defeating Sov-Sec 3-2. They made it very hard for themselves by going 2-0 down. After fighting back to 2-2, Tyson picked up the ball, beat 2,3 players, then slotted an inch perfect pass to Paul Brown, who slammed in his shot.

21st July '99 Tyson has begun training with Wigan. He is really looking forward to this season.

10th/11th July '99 After two days competition in very hot conditions, Tyson finished third, playing for Knowsley. During the first day, he didn't play very much. But he played more on the 2nd day and scored a great goal.


12th June '99 In a competition with eleven other teams, Tyson helped Town Green to win the first Town Green Boys Five a Side competition. He played really well throughout. In the semi final, they beat Town Green from the Craven Minor league and in the final they beat Ainsdale


11th June '99 Tyson won the sponsored penalty competition at Kirkby Stadium. All the Kirkby Boys U11 squad were allowed to take part. each player took ten penalties and Tyson won by scoring all ten!!!


16th May '99 Tyson had been thinking about playing in the summer, but wasn't sure who he would be playing for. When Town Green showed an interest, Tyson jumped at the chance.


15th May '99 Tyson helped Kirkby beat Crosby 3-0 in the North West Cup Final at Ramblers AFC.


10th May '99 After training for the past 6 to 7 weeks, Tyson has signed School of Excellence forms for Wigan Athletic. They have been impressed by his attitude and work rate.


29th Apr '99 As part of the Everton Cup Finals, Tyson, representing Kirby with Ryan Kehoe, won the penalty competition. They were given their trophies by Walter Smith, Everton's manager.


30th Apr '99 After training with Wigan, over the last few weeks, they have offered Tyson a place in their squad for next season. Nothing has been signed and a decision as to what Tyson will do, will be made soon.



Mar 11th '99 Tyson returns. Goes to training for Kirkby Boys after getting over the chicken pox.


Mar 12th '99 Tyson plays his first game for two weeks, and helps Kirkby beat Liverpool 2-0.


Mar 13th '99 Returns for Northfield, who were happy to see Tyson back. The game that he missed, they lost 2-0 to Town Green. He rounded off a 7-0 victory with a great free kick.


Mar 21st '99 Scores two goals which help Northfield reach the Cup Final.


Mar 28th '99 Northfield lost the Cup Final 1-0 against Crosby Stuart. The team was unlucky, but indiscipline cost them dearly. Tyson played quite well, but his comment after the game was very true. "They just didn't want to win, badly enough."


Apr 7th '99 Tyson scored a cracker, but Northfield could only draw against Crosby Stuart


Apr 11th '99 Northfield finally throw away the league, after going down 4-1 to Town Green.


Apr 12th '99 Tyson to leave Northfield. After one season, Tyson has decided to part company with Northfield and will play his final games for them on the trip to Belgium. As to where he will be playing next, a decision will be taken at the end of the season.

Apr 18th '99 Tyson has been getting ready for his school trip to Wales. He cheered on Wigan in the Auto Windscreen Cup Final. He really enjoys training at Wigan.

Apr 24th '99 Tyson returned from his school trip and helped Kirkby beat St Helens.
