LESSON #3

Ok, by now you should have lessons 1 and 2 done.

1.Login to angelfire with your website and password. Highlite index.html and below the box here , click view. That’s what you have done so far.

Now, you need to decide what you want to add. You need a background. You can see some examples of backgrounds in angelfire images or view some I found and liked in my crafters pages under webpage building idea’s. Either way you must upload them to your puter first.
Find the background you want to use, if you want something besides a plain color. Plain color you can just use what is offered.

2.Find the background, or picture you want to use on your webpage. Whether in a website or your computer. If its already in your puter, you must know how to find it easy. I put mine on desktop till I get it in angelfire then I delete it off desktop. That way its not sitting in a folder somewhere never to be seen again.
To get a pic or background, or…. from a website…… simply right click on it, and save as…… save to desktop and upload it.

Once done go to angelfire at main page after login, its your page of files……

3.Below the box is a file upload……. Click browse……..go to desktop……..and click on the image you saved there. Then click upload and wait till its done. Its fast! Now its in your angelfire acct. You add all pictures, backgrounds, etc…. this way. You can use pictures even off the photo album and save them same way. No matter where its at, its same process.

Angelfire has seperated the images from the webpages you have, but I just save in the main files, and forget the images/ folders. To me was just more work lol

Ok, so now your images are uploaded for use.

Now the fun begins………..

4.Ok…….. go to main angelfire page of files, highlute index.html and then click create/edit tab below box.
Will take you to your page for editing, adding these.

5.Step 2….background images url…….. You need to exactly type out what the background you saved is called here and whether it’s a gif, jpg image…….

Example , since we didn’t save in the special image file you wont need to add images/ first. Just type out name of it. Dot whatever it is, .jpg, etc… that’s it, now scroll down, and view. If its there, and you see the background on page your done with this.

6. Get your craft pictures, etc uploaded now so you can add them!! 7.Read the html basic's help page in angelfire to see all the little codes you use for adding things like words, etc.....we'll discuss these in class!

We will add pictures to page after you get the uploading mastered!
