Switzerland

I've been to Switzerland three times; I just keep going back! The scenery is breathtaking, and the towns and cities are a joy to explore.
The photographs here are from my trip last year (1999) and summer 2000; I hope in time to add some from my first visit.

On both trips I rented a car at the airport, and did a fair amount of driving. However, I also made good use of the public transport system. Trains, boats, trams...they all played their part in carrying me around in style!

Switzerland is a beautiful country, each part has such diverse character. I stayed in the German-speaking areas.
The people are friendly and helpful, and what's more generally speak excellent English. No embarrassments ordering food in restaurants! Talking of food...well.. delicious! And hardly a McDonalds in sight! Though there WAS one in Interlaken......
