You can tell this car was made for rallying. Note the yellow lights, the yellow driving (fog) lights and cosmetic details. The fogs were quite uesful in the wicked weather that week. The body color grille, lights, and clear turn indicators were all Euro rallye trademarks.
This shot didn't come out too well due to the lack of light and the rain. But there is a big ass exhaust on the bottom left, just like the ones rallye cars use to warn the crowds they're coming. The script on the right fender reads GTI Rallye G60 AWD. Special rear underside spoliers finishes the look for those it passes.
You can kind of see the cosmetic add ons: rear fender flairs, special sde skirts, basically hte whole side frame is diferent from stock Golfs and GTIs. Those wheels on the ABS disc brakes complete the total look.
