At Speed
The Turbo had an powerful 400 lb/ft of torque, propelling the 3360 lb car to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. A limited slip differental and full time 4 wheel drive helped in the process. Note the huge spoiler to compensate the downforce from the 176 mph top speed.
A $114,314 base price made the 1997 Turbo fairly rare here in the States. Behind the 18" wheels, (8" wide in front, 10" wide in rear) were 322mm ABS disc brakes. Each had one caliper, painted gloss red to stand out. I love the look.
