MILD TO WILD

The first part of winter was relatively mild (except for a few sub zero days, but over all, it had been a mild winter). Then, all of a sudden, we were faced with a severe snowstorm. As we were digging out from 18 inches of snow, someone from our neighborhood with a snow thrower came and began helping us. Soon, we were joined by yet another man. We had never seen either of these men so I seized the opportunity to share with them why we are here. These two men did in less than 30 minutes what it would have taken us 5 hours to finish! Thank God for these two good samaritans!

MORE HELP

The following week we were hit again with yet another 18 inches of snow. This time, I was more prepared by buying a small snow thrower. It was our sincere prayer that we would be able to "re-pay" the kindness shown to us in the previous storm. We prayed we would find someone whom we could help. After I finished clearing most of my driveway, I was shoveling at the end where the snow plows had pushed the snow. A stranger stopped and asked if I needed any help which I gladly accepted. When our work was done, we talked for another 30 minutes or so. He moved here about the same time as we did and before I knew it, I was invited to stop by his house anytime. Amy and I were left amazed at how we wanted to bless someone this time, and yet, we were the ones being blessed again. Even though I have seen enough snow this year, I was (and still am) praising God for this great opportunity to share His love with this man and his family. Please pray that we, through Christ will be able to be of help to this family. Please pray for Chris, Stacey and their two children!
