Though surrounded by a foul mist, whose stench was enough to hold most back and with could prove lethal with prolonged exposure, the swanps were navigable.
Many would ask why any would want to proceed through such a dismal place when so many other routes through the world existed for one purpose, the namesake of the swamp, an enchanted tower of ancient magical tomes named after its creator, A'dan.
The tower held an innumberable number of tomes, and some rumors speak of artifacts, ready for study though none of the tomes could be taken from the place. Such was the enchantment placed over the tower which stood deep in the swamp.
