Modmark is Season XIII (13) CHAMP!
Congratulations to modmark and Bunze0 for providing a great postseason, capping an intersting and fun Season 13.
I think it's funny that after those first four games, the combined run output for each team was 12. 12-12 total in games 5 and 6.
Way to go Mark on winning your 3rd SBDL title, and your first ATG4 ring.
And kudos to Larry, you are a force to reckon with in the East with your back-to-back 90-win seasons. And finishing 2nd in this league is no small feat.

Well, the 82-win team managed by Mark got past his long-time friend and rival Chris, who managed a 103-win team. Looks like Mark is trying to keep the SBDL title in the West.
In the meantime, Jim's Jukes had no encore performance to spoil Larry's Cremes. (sorry) After missing the playoffs despite 91 wins last season, is Larry's team a team of destiny?
Freedom.

Modmark's 5-game win streak at season's end equals a winning record and the West division crown, which is the last playoff spot for this season.
Modmark now travels to 13 Baseballs for one semifinal, while dacelo (the wild card) travels to Bunze0 for the other.

Final night of the season, and what do we have?
13 Baseballs (Chris) has clinched the Central AND #1 seed.
Bunze0 (Larry) has clinched the East and the #2 seed.
dacelo (Jim) has clinched the Wild Card and the #4 seed.
modmark47 (Mark) has a ONE GAME LEAD over defending SBDL champ ggnringo (Gary) in the West. Gary is AT Munich_Man (Rick), while Mark hosts JoeOC tonight. Who will be the final playoff team?
Mark is our only chance of having a 4th team with a winning record this season. This comes off last season's four 90-win teams... one not making the playoffs (Bunze0, who made up for that this time).

This IS the year of the hitter.
First, some records have already been broken, shattered, annhilated.
Babe Ruth's (Bunze0) 193 runs is already more than the record he set last season.
Ruth and Ralph Kiner (TimOrz) have destroyed the SLG record (Gehrig, .796, season 4) with .828 and .802 respectively.
Ruth demolished the OPS record. He's currently at 1.331. The old record that he set last season was 1.267.
Ruth is on the verge of breaking the OBP record that Teddy Ballgame set last season (.501). Ruth is at .503.
Stan Musial (13 Baseballs) needs 13 AB tonight to break that record. He's already 3rd all-time.
Hank Greenberg needs 9 RBI tonight to break the record he set last season (202). Willie Mays (JOEOC) needs 11 RBI to do it.
Ruth (again) needs 9 BB to break the record he set last season.
By the way, Mickey Mantle (TImOrz), Jimmie Foxx (13 Baseballs), and Rogers Hornsby (tomwistar) have cracked the runs scored top 5, and a couple of them will also surpass the old record.
Pitching... um...
Larry French (13 Baseballs) needs to allow 4 hits in his start tonight (if Chris pitches him) to break the hits record set last season by Boo Ferriss.

Season 13...
is winding down... who's going to be the CHAMP?
With 15 games to go...
Well, this was Unlucky season 13 for many of us.
It looks like we may have a legitimate shot at THREE teams with winning records... WOW.
Chris's Furball team is having a great regular season. He could have a +300 run differential, which I think is insane. He has already clinched the
Central division, and is one win (or Cremes loss) from clinching home field throughout.
Bunze0's magic number for the East is 4.
Dacelo's magic number for the wild card is 10.
Meanwhile, in the West Gary's Marauditos has a small 3-game lead over JoeOC and 4-game lead over modmark, but Gary's been hot, winning 7 in a row.
The Ricks are racing for the #1 draft pick. Munich_Man "leads" by four over Mr. Baseball World. Tim Orz is tied with MrBBW for second in this
race, but he has won three straight and six of 10.

I will use what I am calling a double-blind random draw. I will ask a league owner to run the randomizer once, while I run it once. My result will number the 48 active teams. The other owner's result will then order them. The first three will be retired.
The same approach will be used to randomly select three teams from the expansion era to replace the retired teams.
We will take screen shots and I will post them on this site for all to see.
