The season XII champion!
This was Gary's third SBDL playoff appearance, his second finals, but his first title!!
Finals co-MVPs were Duke Snider and Lonnie Frey. The pair of Marauditos combined to go 15-for-36 (.417) in the finals with 6 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs, and 16 rbi.
In Game 1, Duke tied the game in the ninth with a solo HR, and Frey broke the tied with his own solo dinger just a couple batters later.
In Game 4, Snider had a 3-run double and Frey jacked a 3-run HR in the first inning en route to a 3-1 series lead.
In Game 5, Snider's third Finals HR was a 3-run bomb in the first inning.
And kudos to the other playoff teams: denorien's first SBDL season was a playoff berth, while dacelo's second visit to the postseason did garner a first finals berth, and I made the playoffs for just the second time.

Season XII hitting home stretch
There are just 15 games to go.
After posting that Jim (dacelo) appeared to be running away with the Central, he lost eight games from his lead, still his Magic Number for winning the division is down to 8.
Meanwhile, the West is just about a two-horse race. Gary (ggnringo) is holding on to a slim three-game lead over Mark (modmark)and while Rick (Munich_Man) is technically still alive at six back, he is now diving off boats in the Maldives, so his team is on autopilot.
And in the East, Steve (denorien) is still in first, but my (Palanion) team has been pushing hard and is now one game back. Larry (bunze0) is still in the hunt six back of first, and five back of the wild card with the league's 4th best record.

Season XII looks like the season of the hitter!!!
Offensive records that will or have fallen, with 15 games left:
AB - dacelo's Frankie Frisch is on pace for 725. Old record: 720.
Runs - Bunze0's Babe Ruth has scored 171 runs, the old record was 162. His pace is to finish with 188!!
Runs - Mantle and Speaker have an outside shot at more than 162 runs.
Hits - dacelo's Tris Speaker has been on a tear since the previous post. He's now on pace for 270 hits (264).
RBI - bunze0's Hank Greenberg is on pace for 201 RBI. He needs just 10 to break the record (191), which was set last season by Al Simmons.
Walks - Ted Williams has walked 14 times in the last 7 games to tie Ruth for the league lead, and they are on pace for 162 walks. The old record is 163.
Batting Average - 15 games ago, Speaker was at .408 He's now at .412!! If he goes roughly 28 for 59 over the final 15 games, he would break the record Cobb set last season (.417).
OBP - With the recent surge, Mr.BBW's Ted Williams has a .505 OBP, which is 20 points above the record. Ruth is at .494, and Speaker is at .485.
SLG - Ruth is just .006 behind the record (.796).
OPS - Ruth looks to be crushing this record. He is .044 ahead of it right now with 1.284 (1.240).
Any pitching records coming? Maybe...
Saves - Palanion's Ray Narleski has 43 saves. The record is 46.
Earned Runs - Not a record you want, but its been shattered anyway. Furball's Jack Quinn has 173 ER, which is four more than the old record (169). And Bunze0's Boo Ferriss and TimOrz's Vis Raschi are looking at eclipsing the old mark too, tied at 161 ER.
Strikeouts - The record is not in danger, but Koufax's sronghold of owning the top five K seasons is in jeopardy. Ggnringo's Dazzy Vance is at 270 K with 4 starts left and could hit the #5 spot. Meanwhile's modmark's Koufax is not far behind at 266.
Other potential Top fives include bad stats such as losses, but for good ones:
Palanion's Klippstein's 1.90 ERA right now would tie him for fifth best Reliever ERA.
Denorien's Bobby Shantz has a 1.02 WHIP, which would be good for the Reliever WHIP top five.
The league had a live draft to create new teams for ATG4, since it really was a new game.
