Congratulations to Chris (13baseballs) for his first SBDL championship.
The SBDL Season XI Finals MVP goes to Dave McNally! The veteran lefty won Games 2 and 6 (the winner), and was 2-0, allowing 0 runs in 14 innings! He gave up 9 hits, 6 walks, while striking out 10. A stunning pair of performances from McNally.

Tomwistar swept Bunze0 in a battle of East Division foes. 13baseballs, down 2-0, took dacelo to the limit and took the series 3-2. Now it's the Schmoes and Furball for SBDL prominence! Schmoes beat Furball six times in nine regular season meetings, but this time it's for the title!

Will defending champ tomwistar storm from the wild card to take the title two seasons in a row? If not, the other three playoff teams, with a combined one previous postseason SBDL appearance, are more than eager to take the throne. Bunze0 executed the biggest turnaround in league history going from league worst 63 wins to league best 92 wins! Dacelo fought off the Suns, Ghosts, and Roses to win his first division title in the Central. And 13baseballs at one point almost lost the division lead in the last two weeks of play, only to end hot and win by seven games. Tomwistar had a magic number of three for the final series of the season. He barely got it thanks to a competitor losing in Game 162. But, as they say, playoff teams know how to get there. Even if it's ugly.

There are 27 game remaining and it is almost anyone's ballgame still as we are in the height of divisional play.
Bunze0's "lonesome losers" are not losers at all, with a 10 game lead in the East. He's the closest to clinching a playoff berth, led by 17-game winner Lew Burdette and ace Jim Kaat, plus the exciting play of rookies Bobby Bonds and Tim Raines.
In the Central, all four teams have been fighting for the top spot. Dacelo's recent good fortune has moved him to the top, but only four games separates the top three teams and no one is out of it.

Newcomer Mr. Baseball World currently leads the wild card race, but it is a mere one-game advantage with FOUR teams tied for second. Heck, Munich_Man is in 8th place for the Wild Card but is only 5 games back...
