Photography has always been a major hobby of mine, one I inherited from my Grandpop. When I was younger he would often take me all over Philadelphia using SEPTA, and together we'd snap hundreds of images over the years. As I grew older, I came to really enjoy shooting photos. On this page you find a collection of some of my favorite images accompanied by a brief description. To see a larger version of the photo, just click on it and you will be directed to it's Flickr page.

Memories
This is more than likely my all-time favorite photograph. It was taken at a party at my Grandparents' house in
Northeast Philadelphia. They were about to sell the house, and invited
everyone over for one last family gathering there. In this photo you see
my family looking at photographs and telling stories. The fact that the
photo is just a bit blurry adds to the aspect of it being a memory. I also
like how you can see my Dad, on the far right, listening to my Grandpop,
to his left, telling a story. Both of them always have a story to share and
always enjoyed sharing them, and I feel this is captured well here.

My Abby
This is such a fun photo, I love it. My Abby I snapped this photograph of Abby in Bonn, Germany,
right along the Rhine river in June of 2008. We had gone for a walk,
and when we came upon this field, I asked her to skip through while
I took a view shots of her. It turned out just how I had hoped.
This photo shows just how fun and beautiful my lovely girlfriend is,
and how happy we were to be in Deutschland. We can't wait to go back!

A Colorful Idea
This photograph was self portrait number 77 of 365. day seventy-seven. a colorful idea. To this day it is one of my favorites
out of the entire Project 365. Several times throughout the
project, I have found myself in a creative slump. However, there
are days like Day 77 that come along where I take a simple idea
and make a decent photo out of it. In this case, my lamp already
had the mutli-colored light bulbs in it. All I had to do was turn off the
overhead light, turn off my flash, and shoot. I have always
enjoyed how bright colors look on black, and I was very pleased
to be able to capture that as a part of the Project 365.

Circling Times Square
In my last year of living in Philadelphia, I rediscovered New York City and Washington D.C. Circling Times Square
It had been almost six years since I had visited either city, and I
more than made up for that in 2008. On this particular trip I was
visiting NYC with fellow photography buff Candy Graham,
allowing me a little more freedom to randomly stop and capture some fun
images such as this. Being someone who loves bright, vibrant colors, this
photo is awesome to me. I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to
figure out a way to mess with shutter speed on a mostly automatic
point-and-shoot digital camera. I look forward to moving
back up North so I can take more photos in nice, big cities.

Ben is Curious
This photograph is a case of being at the right place at the right time. Ben Is Curious Over the past year,
the Franklin Institue has been re-branding itself as this hip,
new, happening night spot. Renamed ''The Franklin,'' it's new
tag line has been ''Curious?'' The re-branding has been largely
regarded as a failure and a foolish idea to begin with. The person
responsible left the museum midway through the process, leaving
behind a huge mess that resulted in almost 20 layoffs. Despite all
of this, one positive change was the revamping of the Benjamin
Franklin National Memorial, which is shown in this photo, taken
during a test run of the new lighting system. I love the way the
color turned out, and I think it's an overall crisp image.

Castle at Night
I am impressed that this photo even turned out. Castle at Night The photo was shot, from what I recall,
with a flash and no tripod one night in the Magic Kingdom. The
result was better than I had hoped for. The shrubbery in the foreground
is detailed and stands at a good contrast with the background. I got
a lot more detail in the castle than I expected, and I just love the way
the light shows up in this image whether it be the lone light in the castle window
or the fireworks exploding outside. All in all, I think the image turned out well.

My Hammock
Here is another photo from my time in Disney World. My hammock On my days off, I became fond
of spending time relaxing in this hammock on the
Seven Seas Lagoon. The hammock was on the beach
at the Polynesian Resort, which I was introduced to
by my friend CJ. On this particular day, I fell asleep
in my hammock in the afternoon, and awoke to a
wedding happening a few yards away. Only in Disney
World. After the wedding party made their way to the
reception, I snapped this shot of the sun setting over the lagoon.
