Last words- they’re so important, aren’t they?
You always wanted them.
I let you have them; I loved being in control.
But now . . .
Things are different, of course.
Our friendship is back, I do believe.
But I am the one with the last words.
I hang up last; I message you last.
It’s no big deal, though. What are last words among friends?
