History
of Rim Rock Dalmatians
Rim Rock Dalmatians is located in a rural section of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. My name is Barbara Allison and my love for Dalmatians began in 1958 when I got my first Dal. His name was Buckshot and he was purely pet quality but he was a champion in my heart. While growing up, Bucky and my horse were the best of friends. After Bucky died, I thought I could never love another Dalmatian.
A
few years went past, but with such a hole in my heart, I knew I had to have
another Dalmatian. Being ignorant on how to find a good breeder in the 70's, I
had a hard time finding one, but I finally did. I named this dog Caesar of
Rim Rock. Of course, you can't have just one, so a year or two later, I bought a
bitch who became Daisy of Rim Rock. She is my foundation bitch and is behind
quite a few of my dogs.
Because all of my dogs are house dogs, I am limited on how many dogs I can have. Therefore, I don't breed often, but I do have puppies and adult dogs occasionally. I have bred or owned 12 champions and have achieved 3 obedience titles on my dogs. I am a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Dalmatian Club, Dalmatian Club of America and Bushy Run Kennel Club.
