What the hell! After one of the quietest and slowest matches the Plebs have ever played (probably due to a massive injury list [Petch out, Danny out, Lewis and Chadderton 'knackered']) the match decended into a slug fest with a massive brawl on pitch. After a fowl by Chadderton one of the oposing players kicked out and a both teams connected in a head on fight. Result, three players red carded, two of them Plebs (Chadderton and Borough Bear) And the team in fear of being removed from the competition. Calls for players to be banned and not teams by Snell may have fallen by the wayside, so now the team has to wait and see if they will be playing next week. The Plebs first loss since, well, it has to be June 2002. Hopefully we will have some match photo's soon - Petch5th March 2003
New signing Danny Raine has been advised by the club physio to rest for three
weeks following a training ground incident where he has possibily ruptured knee
ligaments. The Plebs will have to make do without his services for at least
the first week of the new season. This was another blow to the managers new
policy of squad rotation.
However, the Plebs do have a large squad and their manager who wasplanning on warming the bench will start after passing a late fitness test this morning on his acute achillies gititis.
Apart from that the Plebs are at full strength and are eager to start the season with 3 points.
