Name: Jay r Barrett

Birthdate: the 9th of January

Years playing: about six/seven years

Equipment: For now i use a lot of digitech equipment; flanger, acoustic simulator, and rp 6. I use a Jimi Hendrix wah (Jim Dunlop), Marshall amps, and last but not least, my Gibson Les Paul (studio). I occasionally a play Fender Stat or an Ibanez ax 120.

Music influences/fav. bands: wow.....i've been involved with, and been influenced by a variety of genres. (I'll just start from the earliest era and move up) I've been a big fan (and probably still my fav. style) of classic rock. Particularly Led Zeppelin, Hendrix (Band of Gypsies and The Experience), Pink Floyd, The Eagles, and The Doors. Not a big fan of eighties rock, but am a fan of Guns and Roses. Everything else sucked. Early Ninties grunge rock was a pivotal time for all styles of music. The beholders of this crucial time period were Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Bush, Mudhoney (this was a little earlier), Flaming Lips, plus the countless underground bands playing small shows. New age rock/metal is also something I enjoy. System of a Down, Sevendust, Tool, Incubus, early Korn, Rage Against the Machine, Deftones. I'm also a huge fan of blues and jazz. Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Healy, Eric Clapton, B.B King, Allman Brother, my dad. Not a big fan ska punk, but Sublime was awesome. For Christian Contemp/rock/metal, i like Third Day, Skillet, Embodyment, Thousand foot Kruch, DC Talk, and Sanctus Real
