The Fraternal Order Of:

NU THETA RHO FRATERNITY was founded on March, 14 1996 in Philadelphia, PA. Since it's birth, NU THETA RHO has worked diligently for the advancement of the quality of life for Gay / Bisexual Black & Latino men, everywhere in the U.S.

          We strive to serve as both role models & leaders in the black & latino communities across the U.S.

          The essence of our organization is to combine the cultural backgrounds of our members and the common goal we share: to unite and empower men through intelluctual development, respect for one another, services to our black & latino
Gay / Bisexual communities, and cultural enrichment.

          One of our goals is the development of the young Gay / Bisexual men, providing guildance & counseling, assist the poor, job searching, continuance in their education,
and to participate in political campaignes.

          Let us serve as a symbol to the Gay / Bisexual community & to provide the nesessary needs that we strive to receive. We promote the self-empowerment of the Gay / Bisexual men, with belief that a latter can be achieved through unity. It is with the latter, undying conviction we all seek to elevate ourselves, working towards academic success, cultural enlightenment and community outreach.

          We trully welcome the support and participation of anyone who shares a sincere desire to learn about and assist the Gay / Bisexual black & latino communities.


OUR MEMBERS MOTTO:

WE THE BROTHERS OF NU THETA RHO, WILL CONTINUE TO UNITE, TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY NEEDS TO OUR GAY / BISEXUAL; BLACK & LATINO COMMUNITY. TO SERVE AS ROLE MODELS AND LEADERS TO OUR YOUNG BROTHERS TO COME. TO SHARE WITH EACHOTHER, OUR DREAMS & INNER MOST FEELINGS TOWARDS ONE ANOTHER. TO ACCEPT ALL GOOD & BAD THINGS WITHIN OURSELVES. OUR MISSION WILL BE TO PROVE THAT A WHOLE, IS ONLY AS STRONG AS IT'S COMPONENTS THEREOF.

FRATERNITY REQUIREMENTS

MUST BE 18 OR OVER IN AGE
MUST BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN 75% OF ALL FRATERNITY FUNCTIONS. (MEETINGS, PARTIES, INICIATION CEREMONIES, ETC)
MUST BE A MALE
WILLING TO TEACH OUR YOUNGER BLACK MALE GENERATION
YOU MUST PAY $45 MEMBERSHIP FEE FOR THE FIRST YEAR (IF ACCEPTED), $25 EVERY YEAR AFTER
6 MONTHS OF MEMBER PROBATION REQUIREMENTS
AFTER 6 MONTHS OF PROBATION, YOU WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE
