Northwind Colorguard Homepage
WELCOME:Welcome to the Northwind Colorguard Home Page! This page is designed to give current and potential members some information about our colorguard.HISTORY:Northwind Colorguard was formed in 1999 in Lansdale, PA, where the guard competed as members of TIDA Chapter 3. Since then, Northwind has moved to Slatington, Pennsylvania, and is now a member of TIDA Chapter 2.Northwind's first full year of competition in 2002 resulted in a Gold Medal as TIDA Chapter 2 Independent Novice Champions. At all-chapter championships in Wildwood, NJ, Northwind finished 4th overall in the Independent Novice class. Believe it or not, NONE OF OUR MEMBERS HAD EVER DONE INDOOR GUARD BEFORE!! We hope you'll join us this season to continue the fun! HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER:The Northwind Color Guard has a NO TURNAWAY Policy. That means there are NO auditions!! All we look for is a willingness to work hard (strong work ethic), the ability to learn new things, and a desire to compete in a positive, FUN atmosphere.
Practices are currently held at Slatington Elementary School in Slatington, PA; we also practice at the Palmerton Borough Hall in Palmerton, PA. Both locations are central to the upper Lehigh, Carbon, and Luzerne Counties of Pennsylvania.
