F-Zero Review

F-Zero - the first game in a series of high-speed futuristic racers.

Graphics
Graphics are pretty good for this SNES game. The different details of the terrain below the course display buildings, sand, and water. This game uses "MODE 7" graphics, which allows the "camera" to circle around your ship when you crash ans blow up, or when you win a circuit. I give it 9/10

Music
YEAH! I love the music for this game! Each of the original tracks (Mute City 1, but not Mute City 2 + 3) have their own original music. I just bought a "Play it Loud" CD from Nintendo Power and it featured 6 or 7 different tracks from the F-Zero game. Their choices were good! My score: 10/10

Gameplay
I think this is the first HIGH SPEED futuristic racer, so that added some value to gameplay. It's sorta fun to go 950 km/hr. There are 4 difficulty levels (No, NOT THREE -see here ), which challenges even the best racers. I give it 9.5/10

Replay
Since no races can be the same, there is a lot of replay value. Just last year, I played this game over, and over, and over, just to get better time records (maybe I'll post those.) You can make little games, like "How many flashing opponents can I kill before the race is over?" I give it: 9.5/10

Story
I'm not sure if ther really IS a story for this game. The instruction booklet makes a little story about Captain Falcon, but I don't think that should be considered a story. I give it: nothing!. There is no story!

Conclusion
This game has brought me days upon days of enjoyment. I'll never part with this game unless some moron offers me more than its worth (so i can sell it, buy a new one, and still have cash left over!) BUY IT! My final score: 95%
