Final Fantasy Review

"......and four warriors arrived, each holding an orb"

Graphics
It's an NES game. Graphics are rather normal. The airship does alow you to travel the Final Fantasy World at high speeds, which I believe was the fastest moving NES game of the time. I give it 8/10

Music
This game has a good score of music. The Midi of the "Temple of Fiends" is one of my favorites. Nintendo Database has the zip of the soundtrack. My score: 9.5/10

Gameplay
you are in control of 4 characters, and you choose the weapons, armor, and items that the characters use. This is one of the most challenging Final Fantasy games ever. This game MAKES you spend hours gaining levels. I'm on my second playthrough of the game, and the only thing I don't like is the amount of time used raising levels. There are MANY enemies that you must defeat. There isn't really much strategy needed to beat this game. I give it 9.5/10

Replay
This game has a better replay value than average games. Since there are HUNDREDS of different character combinations, many people try to beat the game using certain characters. The hardest combination is 4 white mages, since white mages only have GOOD magic, and no EVIL magic. I give it: 8.5/10

Story
Story comes later - must replay game.... But I still know the story is good so...... I give it: 9/10

Conclusion
I think we got this when Nintendo Re-released it. This is another one of those games that my brother had, then lost interest in. It's now gratefully in my hands. I think this was my first RPG, if Zelda 1 and 2 don't count. I think this game still goes for $10 on ebay. In my opinion, it's worth it. My final score: 88%
