Mission
Statement
"Mothers & More is a non-profit
organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through
support, education and advocacy. We address mothers’ needs as
individuals and members of society, and promote the value of all the
work mothers do."
Core Beliefs
A mother is more than any single role she plays at any given point in her lifetime. She is entitled to fully explore and develop her identity as she chooses: as a woman, a citizen, a parent or an employee.
All the work mothers do – whether paid or unpaid - has social and economic value.
All women deserve recognition and support for their right to choose if and how to combine parenting and paid employment.
All mothers, all children and all families are unique. We respect the wisdom of each mother to decide how to care for her children, her family and herself.
Mothers have the right to fulfill their caregiving responsibilities without incurring social and economic penalties.
The transitions women make into and through motherhood are challenging and can be difficult.
- Together, mothers are powerful.
The Lower Bucks County chapter is a fun and supportive group that provides many outlets for mothers and children. Members join us from Fairless Hills, Langhorne, Levittown, Morrisville, Newtown, Lower Makefield, Upper Makefield, Yardley and other neighboring towns.
We have two evening meetings per month featuring a discussion topic (such as "Educating our children", "Nurturing your marriage" & "Effective Discipline").
Meeting locations and days of the week vary, so that we can accomodate more Moms' schedules. For details on our upcoming meetings, including dates, locations and meeting topics, click here.
Besides our regularly scheduled meetings, we also have planned:
- Movie Nights
- Mom's Night Out
- Scrapbooking
- Book Discussion Group
- Children's Literature Discussion Group
- Play Groups
- Kids' Activities
- Service Projects
- Walking Group
- We have a CARE program to help each other out during times of need. Currently members receive meals from volunteers in the group after the birth of a child (once a week for 8 weeks) or during recovery from a serious illness/injury.
Anyone can attend three meetings before deciding to join so come check out our Chapter!!!
