Nightmares screamed in Rei’s head, making her sweat and toss and turn. There were flashes between attacks, attacks in various places. Rei couldn’t count them, seeing as they only flickered. "Minna! Watch out!" she whispered in her sleep, but screamed in her nightmares. Images of people lying dead...and also her friends flashed. "Rei, wake up!" a voice called. "Rei! Wake up!" it called again. "Huh?" she said and sat up. "It was only a dream..." she thought. "Woah, are you ok Rei?" Yuuichirou asked. "Yeah, I’ll be ready soon. Don’t worry." she said and gave him a wink. He blushed and left. Rei dressed for school and decided to tell the others about her dream and if she got anything out of the fire. It was about an hour until school would start for her anyway. Rei carefully lit a fire and began to read it. "Who is this enemy that I see flashes of? And where are they going to strike?" Rei asked in her head. Soon after she got her answer. During lunch break she decided she would call them. Meanwhile on Madame VeVe’s ship..."Did you plant every youma?" VeVe asked in a sweet voice. "Good..." she replied as Hotohori nodded. "Be off to make sure your plans will work for sure!" Hotohori nodded and faded as fog settled in the room. The fog dwindled and Hotohori had left no trace. She had decided to go check out her ‘youma spots’. School was just starting that Wednesday morning. On the way to school Ikkyoku commented that she could have picked up Minako the day before, as she showed her her car. "Wow! I wish mamma would buy me a car like that!" Minako said, bewildered. "My parents bought it and shipped it from America." Ikkyoku said and smiled. "What’s wrong Rei?" a few girls asked Rei during the day. "You aren’t your normal self. Please tell us what is bothering you." they pleaded. "Nothing is wrong! Could I please be left alone today?" she asked. "Yes Rei-sama!" they replied all in unison. Rei awaited lunch time to tell her friends some news. But the day was creeping by slowly leaving Rei impatient. Near lunch break Rei began to feel weird powers. "They are about to emerge..." she thought. ‘DING DONG!’ It was finally lunch. Rei ran outside and hid in a few tall bushes. She opened the cap on her communicator and began to talk into it. Luckily, the girls weren’t around Ikkyoku - or anyone else for that matter. She filled them in on who would take what. Minako the mall (nearest to their school), Amy the park (in which her old gardener friend worked in), Rei to the book store (which Amy wanted), Haruka to the ball park, Usagi to a sushi bar, Makoto to a bakery, and Michiru to a burning resident. "Burning residence?! Has it started already?!" Minako squealed. "No, but they will only a little after three o’clock today. I read most of it in the fire this morning." Rei answered. "Wait! Ikkyoku and I were going to go to the ballpark today! How can I stop her without revealing us?!" Minako practically yelled. "Hush!" Makoto said and gave Minako a light harlie horse. "Ouch!" she said and rubbed her left arm. "Well, you can’t invite her to go shopping, maybe you should take her to the beach to watch surfer guys, or help with a project. Maybe have her stay with this ‘Frederick’ guy you’ve een talking about!" Rei sighed. "Why am I practically the brain of this group?" Rei sighed again. "Hey!" Usagi yelled noting SHE was and still is the leader. Minako chose to keep Ikkyoku at home. The conversation ended and Rei called Haruka and Michiru with the news. The girls then continued the school day. At lunch Minako tried to convince Ikkyoku to stay home. "Well, I have a bad feeling about it. Please stay home - for our sake!" Minako begged, and after a long talk she agreed. But in her heart, she had a feeling that she had now a duty to go to the ballpark. Nobody would know if she were in senshi form, right? Soon after school ended the senshi spread out and ran to their positions. They arrived untransformed until the attacks began. Ikkyoku went home first to let Frederick know she was going to the park. "Awww, you don’t want to stay with me?" he said and wrapped his arms around her. She wriggled herself away and flirted a bit with him. She began to walk towards the back door when he grabbed her hand and pulled her back for a kiss, which he received. She swiftly ran to the ballpark where the game was beginning. The day was bright and sunny, but clouds began to appear only at the ballpark. "I guess I was worried over nothing!" Ikkyoku said relieved. Suddenly screams were heard as a rough looking woman with a long brown braid in a baseball uniform flipped a large metal bench. The bench could fit about 50 average people. "Aha! There is a problem here!" she yelled, hid, and began to transform. What Ikkyoku didn’t know was there were more youma attacks and also that Haruka was transforming not far from her. Although she didn’t know her, she had run into her before as both a citizen and a senshi. Ikkyoku threw her hand in the air, holding her henshin stick, and yelled "Distant Star Space Power, Make-Up!" She appeared with a white line outlining her body, which appeared to be black with stars. A small group of red butterflies twirled around her feet to form her shoes. The view then went to her shoulder, which showed butterflies surrounding her arms and forming gloves. It went back to the full-body view and they formed a large red butterfly. It exploded and showed the rest of her fuku, but only the outline. Her tiara gem shone and a golden butterfly emerged from her brooch. It also exploded and color appeared on her fuku. Ikkyoku opened her eyes and slightly twirled once, and posed. After she stood in the pose for a few seconds, she flipped her hair, put her left hand on her hip, right hand pointer finger on her lip, and winked. Stars and planets appeared behind her. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" the youma said in a sweet voice. "Ahh! So you won’t come out?! I’ll just take this girl then!" the youma yelled and grabbed a girl in a dark blue and silver uniform. Her number was 9, and her last name was Sanoe. The girl tried to fight back, throwing punches and kicking. And if the throws even hit the youma, it hardly them. The youma threatened to kill the girl, who then resorted to screaming for help. "How dare you harm innocent schoolgirls in order to find senshi? I am Sailor Uranus!" a golden-blonde haired senshi yelled, standing atop the score board. She jumped down, doing 3 front flips, and landed on all fours. She stood up and challenged the youma to a fight. The youma had forgotten about the girl. Sailor Distant Star quickly came running up and kicked the youma with a heavy blow, causing her to let go of Miss Sanoe and to lose her balance. Quickly Sailor Distant Star picked up the girl and jetted off as fast as she could. When the youma was out of sight, Sailor Distant Star told the girl to be off. Sailor Distant Star rushed back to see that the showdown had already begun. Swiftly she dodged the youma and ran to Sailor Uranus. "How can I help?!" Sailor Distant Star asked. "Just stay out of it..."she warned back. Sailor Distant Star growled, "Never! You cannot defeat it on your own -- I am stronger then you in a way anyway!" After a brief moment Super Sailor Uranus let her help. Meanwhile another battle was going down at the mall. "Venus Love and Beauty Shock!" she yelled and threw a large heart at the youma. It seemed to be a manikin, with model clothes, jewelry, make up, and a wig. The attack hit dead on, and threw the opponent into a fountain. Quickly it sat up. It let out a loud scream, for its eyes were made of make up. "I can’t see!" Super Sailor Venus snickered and used the attack once again, and sent the youma into obliteration. "Piece of cake! I think I’ll go aid Mercury now..." she said and ran off. Since the bakery and restaurant were side by side, Super Sailor Jupiter and Eternal Sailor Moon had no problem working as a team. "Jupiter Oak Evolution!" Super Sailor Jupiter yelled and sent the youma on it’s ‘side’, seeing as it had a donut around it’s waist. "Moon Tiara Magic!" Eternal Sailor Moon yelled, not having done in a long time. She had no tiara, but one appeared anyway. The attack luckily worked and set the youma next to the other. This youma looked like a clam. "Silver Moon Crystal Power KISS!!" she shouted, and using half of her effort, she destroyed the two. "You go help Mars, and I’ll help Neptune!" Eternal Sailor Moon yelled and the two parted. Going back to Mercury, Venus had arrived. A youma like a butterfly was her foe. "Need some help Mercury?" Super Sailor Venus shouted. "Yes, please!" she replied. "Wings of Furry!" it cried out and as it flapped its wings heavily many butterflies with red eyes appeared, flying to the two senshi and landing on them. The mini butterflies began to bite at them. They screamed and tried to hit them off. When that didn’t work they tried rolling on the ground, as if they were on fire. Nor did that work. "Mercury Bubbles Blast!" she yelled, freezing them off of herself and Super Sailor Venus. "Ack! Those things hurt!" Mercury yelled. "That’s not all girlies!" the youma laughed out and quickly sent them at the two again. She followed the attack yelling "Mystical Sleep Powder!" and floated above them with her wings silently flapping, sprinkling dust onto them. Before they could run, they began to sink towards the ground. Minutes later they were sleeping. Hotohori appeared and grabbed the two. A few ideas slunk into her head. To kill them on the spot, take them to Madame VeVe, throw them into the burning building, or make the other senshi surrender to her. It was quite a while until she found her answer. She tied the two together and had the youma, named Lyra, fly them to a lake. Hotohori decided to look at the progress of her other youmas. Back with Sailor Distant Star and Super Sailor Uranus, there had been no progress. The youma was very strong. When she threw baseballs, they were like miniature grenades. "Nothing we seem to do works!" Super Sailor Uranus shouted. Their swiftness together didn’t even help. Super Sailor Jupiter had just arrived at the bookstore where Super Sailor Mars was stationed. "What’s the problem?" Super Sailor Jupiter said as she jumped into the scene. "These youmas, I crisp them but in their place another comes!" Super Sailor Mars shouted. "Well, it’s a good thing I came to help!" she said and kicked a youma in the face. Suddenly all merged into one. "Oh no!" the senshi gasped together. "Mars Flame Sniper!" and "Jupiter Oak Evolution!" the two yelled and let their power go. This didn’t even hurt the youma, named Erebor. It howled loudly, for it was an oversized werewolf. "It’s like in the books!" Mars cried. It raced at the two, and they dived but it caught Mars’ leg and bit into her shoulder. She screamed loudly in pain. Surprisingly this did not attract news crews. Super Sailor Mars struggled and tried to get away. She even tried to use her wards, but they had no effect. Hotohori appeared and watched the battle from above. Super Sailor Jupiter ran up behind Erebor and began to hit and kick him. He turned around and hit her hard, sending her a few feet back, and she hit a building hard. Super Sailor Jupiter then fell unconscious. "Jupiter!" Super Sailor Mars yelled, shocked. This greatly angered her. "MARS FLAME SNIPER!" she yelled with all her might, her tiara gem glowing. It struck Erebor before he had the chance to turn back around. It sent him stumbling back and made him land on a pot with a small cactus in it. He immediately jumped up and pranced around howling. This made Super Sailor Mars happy to see him actually hurting. ‘Poor beast! He’s going down!" she thought to herself. Her tiara gem began to glow again. "We believe in you Rei..." two small voices said in her head. Suddenly the beast ran to her and punched her hard, sending her 15 feet away. "Don’t give up..." they said together. Suddenly two small figures appeared. They were holding a crystal, a crystal of Mars. "Your crystal needs to be rejuvenated...take this..." they whispered. "Ph...phobos! Diemos! I thought you had perished!" she cried, a few tears falling from her eyes. Super Sailor Mars touched it and felt power surge through her body. "I feel the flames running through my body once again..." she whispered. "Mars Arrow!" she yelled commanding her arrow as she stood up. It appeared stronger, and with charms. She thought of the words that Michiru had told her long ago. *Rei, your senses and nerves are exceptional...continue to sharpen them! And if the enemy gets in your way...Stretch a single piece of string across your heart...And then use all of your body and soul to...Release your fatal arrow!!* She gripped her arrow and, her aura glowing proudly, yelled loudly "Mars Flame Sniper!" The enchanted arrow flew swiftly and struck Erebor in the heart. He screamed loudly and suddenly burst into dust. Hotohori, disgusted, quickly grabbed Super Sailor Jupiter and disappeared off to the lake. Mars sighed, she was going to have a longer day then she expected. "Minna!" she bursted into her communicator, "Jupiter has been taken hostage! I’m going to search for her!" She de-transformed and ran first to where the other senshi were, hardly getting any time to rest. Meanwhile, Neptune and Eternal Sailor Moon were having problems of their own. Super Sailor Neptune had just saved a mother and her son from their burning house. Lurking somewhere was a dragon, named Morgul. The fire fighters had already arrived, but the fire would not go out! A news crew didn’t come to this scene either, because there were fires every day. And they found ones not so important not worth taping. "Stay back!" a man yelled to Sailor Neptune. "Men! So full of themselves! I think we can handle this!" she shouted back. The two senshi nodded and ran into the burning building. "Come out! It’s us you want beast!" Eternal Sailor Moon coughed out. A loud roar was heard and Super Sailor Neptune sent a wave of water that way. There he was, the youma! He began to crawl on his legs out of the house, following the two senshi. "Holy lord! What in the devil’s name was THAT?!" the fire fighter yelled, shocked. The tail of the dragon disappeared behind the house. "Neptune! Now!" Eternal Sailor Moon yelled to her partner. "Submarine Reflection!" the senshi of the sea yelled. Her talisman twirled and sent a beam at Morgul. He roared and lunged at Super Sailor Neptune. She jumped high out of the way. "Take these earplugs!" she yelled and dropped them down to Eternal Sailor Moon. She put them in and Super Sailor Neptune began to play her violin in high-pitched violent tones. The dragon spat fire, and tried to find where it was coming from. The music was swarming all around him. The trees were doused with water, making them unable to catch fire. Super Sailor Neptune stopped playing, but the tune carried out for a few more moment longer. "Deep Submerge!" she yelled and drenched the dragon. This enraged him greatly. "Fire of Hell ARISE!" he yelled in his hoard voice. Suddenly he spit out a great fire. "Moon! Watch out!" she yelled and tackled her shorter companion out of the way. The great black flame engulfed the senshi of water. "Neptune!!!" she shrieked. When the fire finally died down, her friend was half nude, only her body suit was left, which was scorched at her stomach. Eternal Sailor Moon ran over to her friend. "Neptune! Wake up!" she cried. At that moment Sailor Distant Star let off a small butterfly. She had a feeling someone needed it somewhere. Eternal Sailor Moon wept for a brief moment and turned to Morgul. Her symbol on her forehead glowed furiously. "How DARE you hurt my friend, AND innocent people! You are so wretched! Who sent you here?! SPEAK!" she yelled. A glint of anger appeared in her soft eyes. Morgul backed away. "Hotohori, great soldier-servant of Madame VeVe!" he said, showing he was scared. "Where is this Hotohori?" she asked. "A...at the lake where there was a youma near by in a park." he replied. "Thank you...think your last thought!" she whispered. His eyes became beady. "Queen Serenity, help me blast this foul beast! Silver Crystal Power Therapy Kiss!" she yelled and he immediately poofed into dust. Eternal Sailor Moon, feeling very angry, spat on Morgul’s grave. She turned around to see Michiru chuckling. Eternal Sailor Moon gasped and ran to her teal-haired friend. "You! You’re alive!" she squealed and hugged Michiru. Michiru smiled softly. "Come! De-transform and let us find the others!" Michiru suggested.
