Friends and Members of Keystone,
As most of you know, we lost a dear friend in Frank Gill on February 14th. We were all shocked to hear of the news, but were not surprised to learn that Frank’s last moments were spent helping others in the aftermath of the Valentine’s Day snow storm. That’s just the kind of guy that Frank was – always giving of himself, forever committed to his family, his community, his church, the boy scouts, and colleagues like you and me. Frank was truly a leader-servant who put others before himself and made many friends in the process. AAHAM was like family to Frank – and of course the feeling was mutual. His daughter Kelly, wife Ruthann, and son Kevin understood this as well. For, on the very day that Frank passed, amidst the heartbreak of losing her father, Kelly felt obligated to notify AAHAM of the news.
Many of us will hold forever a special memory of Frank, whether it be as:
§ Our beloved guest from the North Pole
§ Our Past Chapter President
§ A respected and committed Board Member
§ Our Golf Tournament Director
§ A colleague offering support, advice, and a helping hand; or simply
§ A dear friend.
Yes, we are saddened at Frank’s passing, and we will truly miss him. But, he has left all of us better off for having known him. He had a way of creating smiles and warming our hearts with his generous and jovial style of giving.
In honor of Frank, the Keystone Chapter’s Board of Directors has decided that our annual golf outing will be renamed, The Frank Gill Memorial Golf Outing.
