Twenty-four students from the eighth and ninth grades in the Fort Cherry School District were selected to attend Cal for a day. All of the students in the eighth and tenth grades wrote an essay bout a teacher who had inspired them the most. Twenty-four of the students were selected to attend Cal based on their essay. The day began with a tour of campus. Other activities included attending a college class, having lunch (provided by Fox's Pizza, painting flowerpoits and planting flowers for a special teacher and creating a puzzle out of pieces of cloth with sayings on them inspired by teachers.
