The Lakeland Raiders were a 2012 expansion team for the UIFL. The team was led by Tavares Woodley, who threw for 637 yards, 22 touchdowns and six picks. Maurice Harvey picked eleven passes, returning four for scores. The team allowed 56 net rushing yards. The Raiders lost all five regular season meetings with Florida. The team did qualify for the playoffs and was awarded a forfeit win over Eastern Kentucky. The team again traveld to Florida and lost for a sixth time, 60-29. The team returned for a 2013 season, going 5-3 on the regular season. Statistics were incomplete. The team lost twice in the regular season to Corpus Christi (once in overtime) and again in the playoffs, by a 68-58 score.
