The Shreveport-Bossier Bombers played a single season in the IPFL. The team averaged only 28 points per game and was frequently held to less than 15 points. The team enjoyed only one road victory, a 27-15 win over Mobile. After missing the playoffs, the franchise planned to return in 2001, but the new arena in the city gave a lease to the Bossier-Shreveport Battlwings of the AF2. For five years, the Battlewings have gone on to do just as poorly as the Bombers.
