The Tallahassee Titans were able to take advantage of a schedule that had the team playing five of its first seven games at home. The Titans were 6-1. The team fell into financial trouble during the middle of the season. Players, coaches, and front office staff willingly went without pay for several weeks to keep the franchise afloat for the season. Late in the season, the Titans played at Lakeland. A win would have likely sealed up a home playoff game. However, the Titans played without starting quarterback Ben Dougherty and lost 51-24. The Titans went on the road to Tupelo in the playoffs and for the third time would come up short against the Mudcats, 62-32. The Titans joined the WIFL during the offseason, but when the WIFL folded, the Titans returned to the AIFA.
