The Wildwood Aces, after beginning their history with a 6-18 season, followed up with a 21-10 record. Unofrtunately, the team missed the championship by one and a half games. The franchise became the Philadelphia Aces for its final three seasons. The 1987 postseason brought a quarterfinal loss to Rhode Island. In 1988, the Aces were upset by New Haven, losing by four points. The team returned for a shortenned 1990 season, winning one game and losing five.
