The Jacksonville/Brevard franchise did a lot of moving around. In 1988, the Jacksonville Hooters went 21-9, with a loss in the semifinals to Palm Beach. After the league took 1989 off, the Hooters returned in 1990 to go 15-1 and win the league championship. There were no playoffs in 1990. In 1991, the Hooters missed the championship game by one win, finishing second in the Southern division behind Miami. Jacksonville won just seven games the following year, missing the postseason again. In 1993, the franchise became the Daytona Beach Hooters and won the regular season championship. However, Westchester defeated the Hooters in the semifinals. In 1994, the team moved back to Jacksonville. As the number four seed in the postseason, the Hooters defeated Long Island, Mississippi, and Atlanta to win another league title. The Hooters became the Shooters for 1995 and won just five games, finishing dead last in the league. For the next three seasons, the franchise would be known as the Barracudas. 1996 and 1997 saw a quarterfinal losses to Tampa Bay and Raleigh, while 1998 brought a division title and consolation game victory against Conneticut. The franchise played the next two seasons as the Gulf Coast SunDogs, having two dismal seasons. In 2001, the franchise made another move and name change, becoming the Lakeland Blue Ducks. The Ducks went 15-15 and lost in the semifinals to Dodge City. In 2002, the franchise made its final move, becoming the Brevard Blue Ducks once again. The 2002 season saw a division title and semifinal appearance. The last two years of the franchise, however, were full of losing. The franchise sent nine players to the NBA.
