The Indianapolis Alley Cats experienced a lot of success in their lone ABA season. An eighteen game winning streak started the regular season, as the Alley Cats tried to rival the defunct Utah Snow Bears as the best one-year league franchise. The Cats lost their first home game in the quarterfinals against a Strong Island team that they did not see during the regular season. Following the 2005 season, Indianapolis joined the CBA.
