CWF Comes to Geibel Junior/Senior High School March Madness Results

The CWF came to Geibel Junior/Senior High School on Saturday March 9 for the CWF March Madness live event and history was made at Geibel!

Here are the quick results of the show:

Fans were allowed by Guest Commissioner Nick Bell to randomly draw the matchup for the first annual Geibel Invitational tournament. The first wrestler selected, former CWF Heavyweight Champion Brock Singleton, received a bye through the quarterfinals directly to the semifinals.

In a Geibel Invitational quarterfinal match CWF Mon Valley Champion “Hot Stuff” Chris Marx defeated Thunder. When the referee took an accidental finger to the eye, Marx capitalized by using the Mon Valley belt as a weapon to knock Thunder out and advance in the tournament.

In a fast-paced bout, former CWF Keystone Champion Dan Sandwich defeated “King of Karaoke” Steve Flash to advance in another Geibel Invitational quarterfinal match

In a hard fought match, the undefeated Kato also advanced to the next round of the Geibel Invitational by beating “Big Star” Dave Daniels. After the loss, Daniels took out his frustration by taking out Kato’s knee from behind.

CWF Tag Team Champion Sniper defeated Justin Sane thanks to an assist from his tag team championship partner Nasty Nick. Guest Commissioner Nick Bell announced that due to the interference, Justin Sane and a partner of his choosing would be granted a shot at the CWF Tag Team titles later in the event!

In a Geibel Invitational semifinal match, former CWF Heavyweight Champion Brock Singleton defeated Dan Sandwich (with some help from an exposed turnbuckle) to end the former Keystone Champion’s night to advance to the finals.

The undefeated Kato, still suffering the effects of the attack to his knee earlier, withstood a pounding from Mon Valley Champion Chris Marx in the other semifinal match to advance the finals. Marx ego may have gotten the better of him as “Hot Stuff” thought he had the victory in hand when Kato surprised him with his Kryptonite Krunch to take the win and advance.

Party Gras (Justin Sane and Lord Zoltan) defeated The Mercenaries (Sniper and Nasty Nick) to become the NEW CWF Tag Team Champions, much to the delight of the Geibel crowd! The end for The Mercenaries came after a frog splash off the top rope from Justin Sane to Sniper, also avenging his defeat earlier in the night.

In the finals of the first annual Geibel Invitational, Kato overcame incredible odds and a very game Brock Singleton to score the victory and win the tournament! Kato scored the victory after Brock attempted to use the exposed turnbuckle one more time and his plan backfired, allowing Kato to pin him with a rollup. Following his win, an emotional Kato took the house microphone from ring announcer Hank Hudson to thank the Geibel crowd for their support.

D.C. Bentley made his return to the CWF after a long hiatus and he was accompanied to the ring by “Big Star” Dave Daniels. Bentley took the house microphone and said he would take on anyone in the locker room. His challenge was answered by none other than Powerhouse Hughes! Powerhouse made quick work of Bentley once he got him in the ring. As Hughes setup Bentley for a choke slam, “Big Star” tried to help his friend by jumping into the fray, only to be caught by Hughes and choke slammed at the same time as Bentley for the decisive 1-2-3!
